@legalfalcon

my current company is hongkong based but I work from india , while putting company address in eAPR it autogenerates request for Hongkong PCC but i never lived there more than a week in past, So I uploaded a LOE in PCC slot
1. will visa officer considers the LOE or my application is incomplete?
2. or he will ask to upload PCC?
Yes, your LoE will be considered. However, as regards PCCs, IRCC can ask for additional PCC, which is at the discretion of the officer.

Given that if you never spent more than 6 months in HK, then most likely you will not be asked for a HK PCC.

@legalfalcon funds for skilled immigrant revised? On their website it says

Proof of funds – Skilled immigrants (Express Entry)

We’ve updated the table that shows how much money you need to settle in Canada. To stay eligible, you may need to update your settlement fund numbers in your Express Entry profile. The update must be done no later than February 25, 2020.
Updating your profile doesn’t change the date and time that we received it, so you’ll keep your rank if you’re in a tie-breaker situation.

what is meaning of update to done before 25feb 2020?

I have recently received a request for one additional document - child's passport which is set to expire in 3 months time. During submission of PR application (AOR Sep 2020), the passport was valid for 7+ months. The problem is due to consular offices being closed, I don't have the updated passport. And I don't know how long it is going to take to get a new passport. From your experience, do you think after submission of new passport, the application will be in backlog for longer period of time before it is picked up again ? Also, as per Canada government website, passports need to be valid for 6 months during submission only and new passport is only required when issuing final COPR. So, is it of any concern getting this additional document request in the middle of processing ? Please share your thoughts.

I was asked same on August 5th 2020 for my dependents, I submitted updated passports August 19, they did not check it until Oct 13. I guess they waited until the 60 days they gave was up

Hi @legalfalcon,
As CIC working at full capacity on CEC now, will it apply on PNP based CEC applications or that will fall into the category of “all other applications”?
IRCC is not working at full capacity. Only for CEC application it s working at full capacity and that is the focus.

If a document is expiring or has expired, IRCC will ask for that document.

In your case it seems that since your child's passport is expiring soon they have asked for a replacement. Get the passport renewed and send it. If you cannot meet the deadline, then send a request for extension to IRCC.

From time to IRCC revises the minimum proof of funds. If the PoF changes, then you have to make a change in your profile so that you meet the PoF requirement.

When it was last done, you had to make a change in on or before February 25, 2020. for your profile to stay eligible.

Hello @legalfalcon

It seems that the final decisions for inland FSW applicants are on hold. Is that true?
Recently the Sydney VO did not send any CoPR to inland-FSW and inland-FSW-PNP applicants!!! It has been a while that they are only processing the CEC applications. It is very frustrating and stressful.
What can we do about it?

They are not on hold per se, as there is no formal announcement. But many applicants have approved on their GCMS notes and even have COPR number and details, but are still waiting for a PPR.

Also, even if a PPR is sent and cOPR issued, but since your are not exempt, how does that help? This is why it seems that IRCC is not sending PPR until a clarify on travel restrictions is achieved.

Dear @legalfalcon
Thank you very much for the answer.
I am an inland FSW applicant and I live in Canada. So why travel restrictions apply to me?

They do not if all your family members are in Canada. However, the bottleneck is at the the VO, and IRCC continuing to issue COPR for inland applicants.

I am in Canada, and I have a non-accompanying dependant who is not in Canada.
Is it important? I think I am still treated as an inland applicant since I applied for PR just for me. Right?
Thank you very much.

There is nothing in immigration law and inland or outland based on which applications are processed. Application are processed based on the program you applied under. Whether you are currently in Canada or not is only used to determine if your security screening will have a record check or a comprehensive check. See https://bit.ly/2LS5tLd
