You can send a request stating that the divorce certificate will only be available by July end, so an extension be given.

Send this request via CSE (webform) or through email to CPC Ottawa

The SS is a game of time and patience.

If 2-3 months have passed since your eligibility passed (by an officer, not an analyst or assistant), then you may be in SS. You will have to wait it out. The only thing that can be of some use is CBSA / CSIS notes.

They merely inform you when the agency started processing your security screening and if they have concluded their involvement.

Also try calling IRCC and send a webform (CSE)
Thanks for reply.
Yes i called them and agent told me eligibility passed by on officer and security in process since 8 April.
I don't think so agent would reveal morethan this.

If its April 8, the you should wait. The security in general can take 3-12 weeks, even if you are not in SS.

Once if you exceed 2-3 months post eligibility passed, should you consider CBSA/CSIS notes. The notes only help you to know when the SS started and if CSIS has concluded its involvement.

Unfortunately, you need to be patient and keep the hopes high.

This is a secret, and there is no set criteria.

For some pointers, you can read mu elaborate post on this - https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/the-anatomy-of-a-background-check-in-depth-analysis.500146/

Hello sir,

I applied for the inland sponsorship back in December 2018 for my wife and daughter. In April 2019, I have passed my eligibility as a sponsor. My wife passed her eligibility and medical. The status on ECAS is 'Decision Made' on both SA and PA side.

Now CIC has called us for a 'Landing Interview' at Etobicoke. In the letter sent to my wife's email address they asked us to bring photos for the PR card, passports and the interview invitation letter that they sent us.

What are we likely to face in the interview? Is it going to be something complicated? Do we need to bring proof of our relationship? We have been married for more than 10 years.

After a long wait of six months I got a reply from IRCC saying they have refused my EE application on 18 april 2019. (second attempt)

First attempt for EE that I tried in May, got denied saying they are not satisfied with the duties of supervisor (NOC 6311) I perform in the letter that I provided. So I got new letter from my boss, got reference letter from co-employee and resubmitted the profile. This time I made sure I made no mistake in my application.

ITA Aug 22 2018
AOR Oct 11 2018
ADR: April 4 2019 (pay stub from Nov 2016 to Dec 2017)
Refusal: April 18 2019

Reason for refusal as per them this time "Yourapplication was assessed based on the occupation(s) which you identified as part of your skilled work experience in Canada: 2016-11 to 2018-10 – Full Time Food Service Supervisor (NOC: 6311) - at Dairy Queen. I am not satisfied that you meet the skilled work experience requirement(s) because you have not demonstrated you have worked full time hours or the equivalent in part time hours."

I claimed 1 year of work experience points on my ITA (score 475). I don't understand why did the officer requested the pay stub for the period of only Nov 2016 to Dec 2017. Also why did he mention 2016-11 to 2018-10 (2 yrs) on refusal letter, when I only claimed points for 1 year. I had already provided those pay-stub initially while filing from November 2016 to May 2018.

My question is when I count number of hours that I worked until August, it goes well beyond the minimum requirement of 1560, then how come I got refusal based on hours requirement.

Below are the number of hours I worked, that are shown on my pay-stub from Nov 2016 till Oct 2018.
* I get paid by weekly.

____________ 1 to 15 ________ 6 to 31
Nov-16 ------- 54.5_____________ 55.5
Dec-16 ------- 64_________ 36.5
Jan-17 ------- 39_________ 10
Feb-17------- 54.25_________ 64.75

Jun-17 ------- 78.5_________ 61
Jul-17------- 55_________ 89

Apr-18------- 75_________ 77.5
May-18------- 30.5_________ 92.75
Jun-18------- 78_________ 72.25
Jul-18------- 71.5_________ 72
Aug-18------- 66_________ 76.75
Sep-18------- 76.25_________ 69.25
Oct-18------- 85.5_________ 75.25.

When I counted, my hours it goes over 2000. I am pretty sure the IRCC have a different way of counting the hours, but still I believe I have achieved the minimum requirement.

What are the option that I have?
Should I raise a web form query stating to reconsider my application or appeal in Federal Court. What should I do?
Please guide me.

Thank you.
@legalfalcon any thoughts??

If your meet the CRS and MEC, the officer will approved it.

section 19 in your notes is there because your spouse did not sign the consent form. Information in the GCMS notes is only released when the consent form is signed by all the individuals in the application.
I'm about to order my gcms note too. My spouse did not sign any form while completing the e-APR. Could you please provide me with a link to download this form?

Hello @legalfalcon,

Any advice? He is pre- ITA. His profile has just been set up. Thank you

@legalfalcon Thank you for all your help on this platform. I am a PR card holder and my husband would like to immigrate via Express Entry.

When asked about whether I would be accompanying him to Canada we selected yes as I am leaving Canada to be with him during the application process, and will accompany him to Canada. This gives him 15 extra points as my brother is also a PR.

However, the application lists me as a dependent and it's my understanding that we will be asked to pay application fees for both of us, which makes no sense since I am a Permanent Resident.

I have 2 questions:
1) Would you suggest I select yes or no for accompanying spouse?
2) If no, Can my husband say he has a brother who is a PR even though he is technically his brother in law?

Thank you

No need to be stressed or concerned. It will be a very straight forward interview, with just some factual questions.

Just go and have a conversation. Once done, you will be all good.

You are almost there.

What is see here, are two issues.

First, your hours. It is not the hours you do, but rather what your work reference letter states.

Second, job duties. The job duties should substantially match the JDs of the NOC you selected.

I understand your pain and there is no time frame within which IRCC has to conclude the SS.

You need to understand that as a part of procedural fairness, IRCC has to make a decision within a reasonable time. The courts have not defined reasonable time frame, but it is subject to the facts and circumstances.

See https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/service-delivery/procedural-fairness.html

The longest wait I have seen is 2.5 years. If you have crossed 1 year, you can consider legal options.
Wow, 2.5 years in SS is such a long time...I don't know if I can wait for 1.5years more...
Thanks a lot legalfalcon, for your time and for always sharing your knowledge.
