The 6 months processing time starts when the R10 (Completeness check is passed). In most cases R10 is passed within 2-4 weeks post AoR. To know the exact R10 pass date, you will need GCMS. But when your medicals passed, give or take a few days is when R10 is also passed.

To determine that you are in SS can only be done seeing your GCMS notes. Also all application are processed within 6 months, and the 6 months starts when your R10 is passed. So I won't be much concerned about the application yet. Don't go by trends, each application is different and you cannot compare apples and oranges.

Thanks for your feedback but i am worried because of two elements bellow if you can have a look :

- They requested my husband's military history while he doesnt have any history he was exempted from the national military service, the ADR was in ip2, and generally military info are requested for security check and people with military record go directly in SS and when i called ircc the agent said that the officer still didnt check the additionnal document and LOE i sent regarding that is that normal ?

- Why they said that they will be out of processing times and need additionnal verifications while the application is just on ip2 after 1 month and a half

Another applicant from my country had her security check within one week and she has 4 dependents so .... i ordered gcms but wonder if i can understand

YEs, you can register for EEBC, there is no minimum score requirement for it.

When you say the "visa stamped her passport is NOC C (1414)," what do you mean by this?

Hi legalfalcon, her residence visa was stamped on passport has the job title with Noc C. My sister wants to apply under different Noc that falls under NOC B. Will this affect her application?

I submitted online application (with fee) on 26th December 2017. I have a status of online application which has UCI# but it is blank. In how many day it is updated? do I need to do anything about it? It is for Express Entry.

I did BSC Engg in 2013 Full time. And then I started to do MSC Engg Part time in 2013. I completed MSC engineering in 2017. I also have a work experience of 3 years between 2014 until now. Can I claim points for Masters degree as well as Experience?

I have recently changed my visa office to Mexico and I have already received the request for passport from them. However, they had a mailing address on the request document that was an old one therefore I sent them an e-mail to update it.
It's going to be 15 days soon since I sent the e-mail. My question is, do I need to wait for them to send me another request for passport/docs/etc with the new address on the request or can I send it right away?
I sent a second email to that visa office probably 4 days after the first one with that question but I have yet to hear from them.

If anyone has experience dealing with the Mexico Visa Office please share your experience .

Most likely you may be stuck in security. However, to be sure and know at what stage your application is at, instead of your lawyer, you can simply request GCMS notes. The GCMS notes are the electronic notes and contain all the info about your file. You do not need your lawyer or representative to file them, you can do it on your own. The GCMS notes have no impact on your immigration application and is released to you on your personal email id.

The GCMS notes will provide you with the complete picture of what has happened so far and what is going on. Based on that, you will know where the application is stuck and will be able to talk to your lawyer.

When IRCC conducts background checks and comes up with any trace that the applicant or the members on the application has been in the military, the military history is asked. Simply reply back by stating that your spouse was exempt from the military duty and provide the details of what he was doing from age 18 to now. No need for proof.

There is no stage a IP2, or NA etc. This is based on speculation where some pseudo intellectuals based on the changes in the MyCIC status have started predicting what is happening in the application, which is absolutely nonsense. As per the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), the law under which all immigration application are processed, provides the following stages:

R10 or completeness check
Medicals
Criminality
Eligibility
Security

May applicants never see many status updates and straight get the Passport request, which does not mean that their security was never done. The only way to know at what stage the application is at is GCMS notes, or you can simply wait it out.

All application are different and you cannot compare one with the other. There are many factors which go in processing an application. Also, 80% of the applications are processed within 6 months or less. The 6 month processing time starts from the day when the R10 is passed.

During my processing, I too receive ADR for military record, when I had never served in the military. Just sent the reply and it was all fine. I don't see anything that you have to worry about.

The NOC is all about job duties, and not the designation or the education requirement. As long as an applicant meets the JD which are substantially close to the NOC selected, he/she can select that NOC.

If your education and work were outside Canada, you can claim points for both, even If done at the same time.

There are two things happening, change of VO and change of your address.

Unless you get a confirmation of the change of VO, you cannot send the passport, as regards the change of your own address, there is nothing to worry about. It usually takes IRCC 1-3 weeks to respond. If you do jot hear back, send another reminder.
