Hi good sirNo, you are not under SS, yet.
After you submit all your documents, its should be ~ 1 month. But this is an approximation.Thank you for your response @legalfalcon
I know its really hard to speculate anything in such a case. But, honestly we are very curious. Should it take more than a month?
Thanks again
Ho are your passports with CPC Ottawa?Okay. Thank you.
One more thing our passports are submitted with CPC Ottawa since early june.
Now whenever we get PPR mail. I assume that it is understood that we ll get our passports back along with visa stamping. Right?
It can range from information collection form federal agencies to foreign agencies and many more. It will depend on the stage at which your application is.Thank you so much @legalfalcon
I think it is OTHER REQS check then.. that is what the officer mentioned, but the status "not started". I assume it is started looking at the other activities. They create a new activity with new value : not started, and then next update old value : not started and new value: Passed
What checks usually happen in OTHER REQS??
How can you have a place of birth wrong. It is one of the most important details in identifying an individual. If it is wrong, then you need to correct it.Ok.
Please help with this:
Is place is place of birth a big deal? I ask bcos place of birth on spouses passport is wrong and UK pcc has been issued with that info. So Should all entries that concerns place of birth on application be aligned with the info on passport and U.K. PCC or regardless this error, should the correct place of birth be filled out in the application? The last application that was refused had the correct place of birth filled out in the eapr form though diff from info on passport.
No, they would not object if you renew your passport. Instead, you should get your passport renewed ASAP, so you won't have to worry later, especially when you move to Canada. After you become a PR, you do not need to carry both PPs. Just your current one and the PR card. The visa issued to you is a single entry and will be cancelled when you enter Canada and land as a PR.Hi Legalfalcon,
I have received PPR email and my passport has an expiry of 11 months. I am planning to get visa stamped on this passport and minimum required expiry is 6 months.
My question is, would they object if I renew my passport after few months but before travelling to Canada? I am in doubt because COPR will have old passport details.
PS - I know I will have to carry both passports at the time of travelling.
Thanks
Rahul
Hi Legalfalcon,
Need your help. My eApr was rejected due to Incomplete - I make mistake when I submit PCC. I am going to submit a new application however I don't know should I answer YES or NO for following question. As I think that the eApr Cancel by incomplete # REFUSE - I intend to answer "No" but not confident, Need your advice. Thanks very much
1. Has .... been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?
Answer yes and include a LoE, and give details of your application and the refusal letter.
2. Has .... ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?
No
@legalfalcon quick question, do I need to attach proof for the travel history which I declared, like airline tickets. My problem is I have deleted all the copy of my booking for flights going from my country of residence to my home country for vacation, I go 1-2 times per year. Is it okay to simply declare everything on the travel history as there are exit and entry stamps anyway? Thanks in advance

You will have to explain this in LoE, and enclose an affidavit affirming that the degrees were awarded to you and there is a spelling error.Hi @legalfalcon I received my ITA with deadline of first week of Dec. My A'level certificates, 2 of them, have minor spelling error of my name. Also, my bachelor's degree and transcript have minor name spelling error. All these are more than 15 years old. I have two masters degrees with transcripts and they have my correct name. My ECA was done by WES and it has my correct name on it. However, WES mentioned in the ECA that my bachelor's degree has a different name spelling. Will my A levels and bachelors degree name spellings be an issue when I submit the final educational documents? Please adivce. Thanks!
Thanks @legalfalcon Should I try to get these certificates corrected asap by the university or the affidavit would be sufficient? This is my second ITA so your advice would be extremely helpful..You will have to explain this in LoE, and enclose an affidavit affirming that the degrees were awarded to you and there is a spelling error.
