@legalfalcon my wife and me got our AOR on Sept 20th, passed medicals on Oct 4th and received biometrics collection letter on Oct 8th. We gave our biometrics on Oct 18th at VAC on our country but still no change in our app, any ideas what we could do or if there´s anything wrong?? Thanks you so much in advance i´m just a little anxious about no updates and the system still says action required

@legalfalcon I have inadvertently deposited $11,000 cash in my salary account which is around 60% of my entire POF. Doing some late research, I found out that depositing cash is an absolute terrible idea. My father recently sold a property so I can show a sale deed along with gift deed. However, the sale deed is not in English language and I don't want to open a new can of worms by showing it. More so, because the payment I am using was a part of cost paid in cash so the amount didn't go to my father's account first.

I can now take the cash out, deposit it in my father's account and have him transfer it the right way. But the VO will see the $11,000 fumble in my account prior to gift money coming in. I heard getting a new account is also a bad idea.

Plan B: May be once I have an ITA, I will arrange another $11,000 and route it through my dad's account. That will take my account to $11,000 excess POF but the cash deposit will still be there.

Please advise.

P.S: I am expecting an ITA soon so there is no way to showing a 6 month ageing.

Dear @legalfalcon sir on 19/10/19 i got my gcms notes and luckily they were just 1 days old that menas 18/10/19. So i have few questions if u can help it out. My vo is NDVO



1. Its been 206 days my aor is 6th april and still my file is untouched. In notes section it just says R10 was done and no check of pof and work experience. Last note—BULK NOTE— This application is in queue for processing. As i have read that eligibility is checked twice once by case analysts and then officer so in my case at Cio it was not checked is that is the reason for delay and what do u think hw much time they will take more to atleast start.



2. There are some group name which says type as batch notes and status as in progress. Last one was dated 17/10/2019. What exactly is that.



3. I have a case of marriage post AOR and under organizations & entities there is some wrong dates and written as Name—-EE processing issues-Post Apr and pre-approval marriage.

Sub type—EE Processing issues-Post eligibility marriage.

Reason- organization member.



I would be very thankful to u if u could provide me with some insights.

• 22 March, 2019 : Medical Cleared
• 23 March, 2019: Received an ADR request for form IMM 5669E for my wife, which we promptly filled and submitted in 3 days (26 March)
• 26 April, 2019: Biometrics Completed
• 26 July 2019: Via Ralph Goodale, and via CIC hotline: Eligibility "Recommend Pass", Criminality Pass, Background yet to be started.
• 10 Sep, 2019: Webform received generic response from CPC-Ottawa saying file is currently in queue for review by officer.
• 17 Sep, 2019: Filed for GCMS (received note on 12 October saying it's delayed by 90 days)
• 25 Oct, 2019: Filed a new query for webform seeking update
• 30 Oct, 2019: Received ADR Request for IMM5669E for both myself and my wife.

I don't understand why after all this time they require the form again?
Have we made any mistakes in the application, especially in regards to these confusing "Do not leave any gaps" section? The ADR request form doesn't say anything specific. It just says

We have begun processing your application for permanent residence, and in order to make a decision we require the following information/documents:
" A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) bearing an original signature. Please note that you must provide details since the age of 18 or the past 10 years. Be sure to not leave any gaps."​

The fact they wrote, "We have begun processing your application" is also scary.

I wonder if they are doing this just to harass us because we filed a webform requesting an update.
In any case, I know it needs to be filled, but I am just getting paranoid.

Can you have a look at my work history and travel history, and guide me if I have left any gaps?

• 2011-07 to 2012-06 - Education Activity (Masters Degree)
• 2012-07 to 2014-01 - Employment

Is that fine or do I have to add a column to show a 'gap' between June and July,

I'd finish my masters by the end of June and by the first week of July I had a job...so I really don't quite get it.
My travel history is worse as I kept flying back home during semester vacations for a period of 10 days, and I've no idea if I've properly written my travel history. The dates are pinpoint accurate thanks to stamps on my passport, but again unsure if I've to write it like

• 2008-04-04 to 2008-08-28 Singapore (time stayed for first semester)
• 2008-08-28 to 2008-08-31 Mumbai (flew to mumbai for vacation)
• 2008-08-31 to 2008-09-24 Singapore and so on. (time stayed in singapore for second semester)

Any help appreciated.

After everything is done, i.e. eligibility, security etc. the officer will ensure that the entire file is in order, all pending requests have come in and that the file is ready for approval. This will then be updated in the GCMS notes and a request to send in your passport will be sent to you, if you are not from a passport exempt country.

This stage essentially is about closing the file on GCMS.

Many people float this garbage that is you send a webform the officer gets annoyed, or IRCC will take revenge. This is BS.

IRCC is a federal institution and has to comply with the laws, including, processing of applications in an unbiased manner, efficiently and fairly.

If any aspect of your application is incomplete, especially information in your forms, or if IRCC wishes to very it, they can ask you to submit additional information by asking you to furnish forms.

IRCC will NOT disclose whey they need it, since if they do, then the whole purpose of verification is vitiated. So when you fill the forms be careful and make sure that you answer all questions and do not leave any gaps.

Lately GCMS notes have been delayed for everyone. However, if your application is at the final stages, then that too does delay the release of GCMS notes.

My AOR is of October 19th. Now my passport will expire on October 1st, 2020. Now, should

1.) I wait for my PPR & then make a new passport later after landing?
2.) Should I now right away renew my passport and then update via webform asap? or
3.) I should wait till March for PPR & if I don't get it then I submit it via webform? [will updating my info using webform so late can cause any problem?]

Pls advice Sir about which option above should i follow to avoid any delays and confusions in my processing. thanks
