Usually IRCC does not award points for education from unrecognized university. If you want to claim points for the diploma, try getting an ECA from another agency and see if they recognize the university that granted the diploma.
Hello there,

If you don’t mind can you please check your DM and respond to my query many thanks !

Hello Sir,

I submitted my paper-based inland spousal sponsorship application to sponsor my family in December 2018. My family is in Canada on a TRV. Around the same time, I also submitted my wife's and daughter's 'extension to stay' in Canada application online.

I got the AoR and application number for the sponsorship application at the end of January. I have also been able to link my paper application to my CIC account. The application is currently under process.

My family's 'extension to stay' application has also been approved for a year at the end of January. Now the thing is, CIC asked for a medical for the extension application, which we have done recently. In fact, it is so recent that the panel physician has not yet submitted the result of my wife's medical to CIC.

However, in the meantime, CIC is now asking a medical for the 'sponsorship application' as well. My question is do we have to do medical twice? How can I use the same medical result that has been done for the extension application (done very recently) for the sponsorship application?

It is noteworthy that the two medical requests contained different IME numbers. The request for the extension is marked 'non-EDE' and the request for the sponsorship is marked 'EDE'.
You can send the same medical report. Raise a CSE and inform IRCC and the IME number for the one you just got done. IRCC will add it to the file.

Hi @legalfalcon

SEP -- AOR
I was working in USA for the past 5 year, I moved to my home country last week.
I am working for the same employer from my home country office.
My designation, salary also has been changed.

I have claimed points only for this job.
I have reported only change of mailing address to the CIC

What I read on few threads was, is POST AOR changes does not matter, only things which effects CRS score we need to report.

I got little tensed after I read in few other threads where it was mentioned by few people you need to mention about change of employment.

I am confused, please let me know do I need to update any info about my job also

Thanks
You have to inform IRCC of change of address. For the employer, you should inform that too, since you are not working with the same employer, but in a different country. Just in case IRCC calls your HR for verification, they should be aware that you no longer work there.

@legalfalcon I am working for the same employer, in a different country.
My Eligibility is MET according to GCMS notes.

Is raising multiple CSE's fine. ( already raised one about change of address two days back).
Is this kind of major mistake which can effect my application ?

Hi @legalfalcon
Inland, FSW, AOR Sep 5, ADR for Canadian PCC Sep 27th, submitted after a few days. Still waiting for PPR. More details in my signature.

I called CIC yesterday, eligibility in progress, criminality not started and security passed. I don’t know why they haven’t started with criminality. Any idea why?
Would you be able to say roughly how much more time before PPR?

My application is in Ottawa.

Thanks

Hi legalfalcon,

You are a great help to many people here and I thank you!

I have a question, I read in this thread that if one is employed by the government (governmental affiliation.) I worked for the city and currently employed by the Federal gov. (public service), does that mean my application will be subject to longer PROCESSING TIMEFRAME?

Many Thanks,
Fafa

My application was recently transferred to RomaVO on dec.21/18 and rec'd processing notification on Jan.3/19. I heard Roma has longer time frames.

Thanks,

Fafa

Hi @legalfalcon

I would very much appreciate your thoughts and input related to my spouse's financial statements.

I am the main applicant and my husband is accompanying me to Canada. My proof of funds is tied entirely to my own accounts and I will be providing my financial statements for those. I don't have any debt or loans in my name.

My question is: as my husband is accompanying me however, is there any need to declare his financial statements and/or debts?

Thank you in advance!

@legalfalcon

We need your kind help in the following matter.

Our son is in canada. He first became a permanent resident through skilled category in 2009 and was in the home country outside canada from 2010 to 2017.

Since he already had a PR Status in canada, in the mid of year 2017, he got PRTD Category R-1 (H&C grounds) explaining all his circumstances under which he could not have gone back to canada all this time.

So after getting his PRTD, he immediately went back to canada to settle there permanently and is there since then.

There, he was advised by an attorney to not to apply for PR card renewal before completing his residency obligation of 2 years continuous stay in the last 5 years. So he did not apply for renewal. He is well employed there and has all the necessary documents there.

We both parents wish to visit him on family visit visa for 2 months as we have not met him in this one and a half year period. My wifeʼs visit visa was rejected twice in 2009 due to insufficient documents, funds at the time when our son was to go to canada first time in 2009 to settle there. permanently. She wanted to accompany our son

My questions are:-

  1. Can he invite parents for family visit visa on the strength of COPR and expired PR card.

  2. In our application for visit visa in the title “purpose of visit” should we make “his inability to visit us due to absence of a valid PR card and not having met the residency obligation so far” a purpose of our visit.

  3. Or should we keep our purpose of visit in the covering letter as simple as “to meet the family there” and avoid mentioning full immigration details.Does it matter in any way in our case?

We shall be extremely thankful, if you can advise us on this issue.

Hi @legalfalcon, Thank you so much for all your help. I have another concern.
I received my emedical form yesterday. While reviewing it I realized that I forgot to mention a surgery done 10 years ago to remove tonsils in my throat. Will mentioning in the Letter of Explanation be enough or do I need to contact the panel doctor as well to inform him ?Thank you

No need to worry, it is irrelevant for the purpose of immigration.
