I read about the stages an application should go through as per your posts. Unfortunately in my situation I'm kinda stuck. Could you maybe have a look and see what the problem could be?

jan 30 medical passed, Criminality passed
feb 16 eligibility recommend passed by case analyst
june 2017 BG turned NA for three months
sept 14, 2017 BG started and completed
Sept 14 2017 eligibility tunred under review after officer reviewed it
Oct 17 medical extended
till date still waiting for some answer and the file was not touched
on Jan 23 I called CIC and as per CIC agent everything is done just eligibility is left.
I don't undertand after Security it shouldn't take that long should it?​

I tried to install telegram to join your group, but couldn't install. Do you have whats app group to join?

My issue is as: I have visited Qatar multiple times, but all visits were done on visit visa. I have checked with CEID department in Qatar and they told me that they would not give me PCC for entire tenure as my visits were in chunks but will only provide PCC for my last visit. Which should suffice the CIC need.

Can you share any experience if that is workable? I do not see how I can convince them to change their policy. The people in Qatar department are not very helpful.

We moved from WhatsAPP to Telegram because Telegram allows groups which can accommodate 5000 members as opposed to WhatsAPP which can only have 250. Managing multiple groups is very difficult. Telegram is also available on desktop, you can try installing it on your computer.

You only need the latest PCC. IRCC clearly states:

• For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the applicant lived in that country.

So get what Qatar gives you and it will work just fine.

Hi @legalfalcon. Can you guide me related to BOWP? I am currently having pgwv expiring in August 2018. However, during this 2.5 yrs of pgwv possession i never stayed/worked/visited Canada. I just want to visit Canada after few months (for couple of weeks) to apply for BOWP to secure visa extension as my PR application is under process (eligibility passed and backgrounds/security checks in progress) and I have no idea how long will take. Based on your experience would you recommend me to apply keeping in mind all these scenarios i mentioned? I am thinking from a point of view that cic may question me why I did not stay in canada and now I am applying for BOWP. Will it create doubts in their minds and will it effect my PR application? Thanks!

You are not eligible to apply for BOWP as you are not in Canada, as that is one of the requirements.

Thanks for you input. The charge was in Canada. Do you know how long it can take to get to PPR? Am I looking at few months or weeks?

I read your post where you have explained how backgrounds are conducted. Its covers security screening process . As our securoty and eligibilty is passed, is it just the matter of time or should I be worried of something? I did share the court records and police reports with you and you had advised that the case was minor and moreover everything was withdrawn. I am just worried, sometimes I feel that I am overthinking... any thoughts sir?

If the charges were dropped, then CBSA will give it report, and a report will be filed by RCMP. As soon as there reports are in IRCC will make a final determination. So its just a matter of time.

I was scheduled to do medicals in india but unfortunately my company transferred me to qatar urgently so i did medical exam in qatar but i did it on 35th day not with in 30days given by IRCC . I raised CSE and informed about the reason for late submission and also my new qatar address.
Will this be a problem?

That will not be an issue as long as you have given the explanation.

Previously, Background check was different and also review of additional documents also changed from we're reviewing to this.
No meds update yet.

I don't do speculative things. What you are asking is to determine if you are in IP, NA etc. They are just speculating based on what status message you see.

Eligibility
Security

Have your requested GCMs notes? Because if your security is done and eligibility is passed, then there is nothing left. Based on the above information, everything looks good.

Its not working, but you have to be physically present in Canada.

Thank you for you guidance and support all the way.
I submitted the medicals on 24th and From "we are reviewing the medicals " status changed to you "you passed the medical".
I applied for Accompanying family of total 4.
In my email which i received today it says My name and my UCI: NUMBER is only mentioned not for my other 3 members.
I sent a CSI few months back to consider only my application and not my family will not accompany me, i did not hear anything from IRCC regarding this. Now i am confused whether they issued visa call only for me or my family too.
They sent medical exam to retake only for me and not for my family last time.
Is there any way to check if the email is only for me or also my for my family members.
In My CIC ACCOUNT my family members application number is still there.
Your help in this matter is highly appreciated.

Last gcms I got were in December. And it’s the eligibility. It was recommend passed but after officer reviewed it in September it turned under review. Since then file was touched in October when the medical were extended but nothing else changed.

The eligibility takes place in 2-3 phases. First an analyst will review and make a recommendation, then an officer will review the recommendation and make a final determination. It seems now your file is in security.

For the UCI, sine you are the primary applicant, only your UCI is mentioned. Most likely they would have withdrawn your family, but to be sure, raise a CSE again and send an email to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca

Hello legalfalcon.
My application is not being touched by anyone at LVO (AoR March 28th, NA2 since July 14th, Transfer to Paris VO August 10th).. no SS, Eligibility not Started, Security Not started.. The file is sitting there untouched. (The last due date I got on GCMS generated 22NOV is October 17th.. at that date the file was not opened nor assigned a new due date)
I think there might be a system bug/glitch or just a human error preventing my file to appear to visa officers to process it.. I cannot find any other explanation.
What can I do to force them to verify my application and pick it? Any recommandation? anyone to contact?
