Thanks friend. This is the letter i will be taking from my previous boss, who is now my subordinate. So i am unable to take it in a letter head. Notarized docs okey? I can ask his resignation acceptance letter from previous place? What else is required to support this?
Yes, you can get it in a plain paper and get it notarized. However, you will need additional documents to support your work experience, like IT returns, pay slips etc.

I just checked my reference letter doesn't have a date. A date that specifies when this letter was written. And there is one typing mistake as well as My name is Written but in bracket my manager copied my company A's employee id and then below all my deatils are mentioned of the company B. The letter is for Company B.
If you can get it rectified that would be ideal.

Thank you so much for the reply! On page 2 of GCMS notes, Security is blanked out and also there is indeed S.15 (1) on the top right corner. Hopefully everything goes as you described.

If there's no updates or ppr in next few weeks, when would you advise me to order the 2nd set of notes?
So your security is underway.

For s15 see https://www.getgcms.com/blog/s15-s16-top-right-gcms-denote/

Most likely you should get your PPR soon, if not then wait for a few weeks before ordering another set of GCMS notes.

Thanks.
But do i need to mention all the gifts even if it is not within 6 months? I understand that 6months average donot apply in case of gift deeds but still this 6 month period starts from the bank letter issue date or application submission date?? Qouting my question: Can i skip $4000 entry by waiting till 1st nov or do i need to show both entries in any case?

The 6 months average balance is the last 6 months from the date when you submit your eAPR. If you do not meet the 6 months average balance requirement, you can show that you received a gift.

The average balance is required to show that the funds are not borrowed.

Thanks for your inputs. I received a communication from cic for IMM5475 form. I have applied and done the whole process by myself. Should I fill in the details with my spouses name? My AOR was 3 Oct and medical has not passed yet.

You do not need it, but if you have mentioned that you have a designated individual, you will need to submit it, or even if you want to revoke it, you will need to submit it.

Hi legalfalcon,
Thank you for your input.
My AOR is Jan 13, Eligibility & Criminality passed in June 2017, SS started on July 17.
The CSIS completed my SS on Sept 22nd and they have submitted their advice to IRCC and CBSA.
Is this routine for CSIS to send advice to CBSA?
Or, does this mean that now CBSA is going to do additional SS?
How long does it take from this point on when CSIS has completed the SS?

Again, thank you for your help!

This is the normal routine, now CBSA will evaluate it and send in their report. If you are under SS, CBSA can take anywhere from 2-3 weeks to 2 years. There is no timeline. But it depends on many factors. Since you are in your 9th months, I will give it a few weeks. It should not be an issue.

Hello Legalfalcon, after i posted this message, I rechecked the information i had provided in my e-APR and realized I had given my spouse's name as Designated Individual in the "representatives" section. Is this why they have asked for the IMM5475?

Also, could you please let me know what i should give as provide in the following fields in the form as i got know the details yet:
  • Name of office where the application was submitted
  • Location of office
Another thing i would like to ask is, if i am giving my spouse as Designated Individual, is their sign required? In the form they ask for signature of applicant and signature of spouse (if applicable)
You don't need to give your spouse as designated individual. If you give, then just provide the details asked.

  • Name of office where the application was submitted - Case Intake Office
  • Location of office - Express Entry Online

Dear @legalfalcon

the only update i got so far is that local embassy asked for a new national ID card on the 2nd of oct after 19 days fom my visit .it is to renew my picture i guess. i sent back the new one onthe 9th of oct and waiting for the GCMS notes to arrive on 28th of oct to 2nd of nov
no news since the 9th. is there any thing i can do. why are they taking that long time while my figerprints are on all documents and they can verify easily. i do look different due to weight loss and stress in pics but can't they verify by using my fingerprints which are already on my PCC and Ielts
Raise a CSE if you do not hear back in a few days.

Hi @legalfalcon ,

I have a question on POF. My Bank has provided me a letter with the necessary details on Bank letterhead except for Average Balance for the last 6 months. Hence I got Bank statements for last 6 months with the seal and signature of the relevant bank authority. However, in the 1st month in the statement, I got some lumpsum amount credited into my bank account within 15 days range. So, Do I need to show the trail of these funds? Or Bank statement with the seal is fair enough. From the past 5 months, my Average monthly balance is sufficient amount. Kindly advice
No trail is required. However, you will need to explain in LoE that since the bank did not provide you with a average balance, you are providing the statements.

@legalfalcon Hello!

So I may have made an error while filling in my EOI profile and I wanted to know how big the magnitude is. :)

I've been with the same company since 2012 in the same NOC. However, it being a pan India company with offices in several cities, I have been internally transferred twice.

While filling in the Work History section, since my company, NOC and country of employment were the same for the whole period (2012 till date), I made just one entry and under the City field put in my current city of employment since this is the address listed on my experience letter.

Now, when I'm filling my PR profile post-ITA I've come across the address history section. Providing all those addresses of course is fine with me, but will it cause a problem because going by my work history section, I've only worked in one city? Am I overthinking this: my country of employment and employer remains the same no matter which of its several offices I'm allocated to. Right?

Hi @legalfalcon
Thanks again so much for all of your help on this journey so far.

I have 2 questions for a friend of mine.

1) If your PR was revoked when you were a teenager (because your family failed to meet the physical residency requirement), can you apply successfully for PR through Express Entry as an adult on your own?

Yes, the applicant will have to mention the refusal is he/she is aware of it.

2) My understanding is that having an active PR application could endanger a student visa application because it would be in direct contradiction to your claims that you plan to return to your home country after you complete your studies. But if one obtains a student visa, and then submits a PR application before entering Canada for studies, should that person expect to encounter difficulties or even be denied entry when they try to enter canada on the student visa a short while after (while the PR application is still being processed)?
Both applications are different and one has no bearing on the other.

Hello,

After a long wait I’ve received my PPR email. i have a few questions

1. Ive sent then an email requesting a change in the VO for submitting passport. Being famous for their response rates, what should I do in case theres no response with the instructions for VO change ?(apart from the constant followup emails )

You will have to just wait it out. There is no other way. However, when you get the approval

2. The PPR letter has only PA Name for filling annexure A . What about the dependent ?
It is only required for the PA. If specific info about the spouse is required, only then enter it.

Congratulations of the PPR!

Hi legalfacon,

I recently immigrated to Canada as PR. I applied through express entry, I mentioned that I am married but I put my spouse as non-accompanying because my father was terminally ill and I did not want to leave my parents behind alone. My plan was to do soft landing, collect the PR card and then comeback to India to take care of my father, but unfortunately my father passed away just 13 days after I left for Canada. Me and my wife were trying for a child since the beginning of our marriage but we were not successful, We were seeing doctor regarding this, and at times we thought that my wife is pregnant but she was not. When I received the Passport Request we were doubtful about the pregnancy of my wife so I decided to not inform the CIC about my wife's pregnancy. I submitted my passport and got it back with visa and COPR (with my wife's name on it as non-accompanying dependent). After one month or so I left for Canada. I got my PR card and after 4 months of my landing we had a baby. Now I think that CIC will accuse me of committing misrepresentation whenever I will try to sponsor my child and wife because I did not inform them about the pregnancy.

What should I do now? is there any solution? or my PR is gone for good along with ban for 5 years? Please help me because if I am charged with misrepresentation my life will be over.

This is not misrepresentation. When you sponsor your spouse, you can sponsor your child too.

If you have a dependent when you filed your application and failed to disclose it, then it is misrepresentation, which is not your case here.

This will not cause any issues. You can explain in the LoE that you have worked for the same company at different locations.

Nothing to worry about.
