My wife is having a big family and we collected all DOBs except one. We have his DOB but not sure this is the DOB in his certificates. Since we are not in very good terms i am not able to get it.

Shall i just put the DOB (which i think should be correct) and say nothing?

Or do i have to give any reason in LOE. I am worried what reason i will write. Unfortunately he is staying in US and i am also worried he is one person they can easily check.

Please advise a solution.

Dear legalfalcon, today I completed 6 months since AOR 22 Feb. I got through CPC Ottawa and was informed that my file is being processed at Central Intake Office (CIO) Ottawa.
- would you have CIO Ottawa number?

Dear Legal Falcon,

My wife's name was changed in passport after marriage. It is mentioned in passport that the new passport is issued with new name due to marriage and previous name was -------------.

Will that be sufficient as CIC is asking for legal documents in ITA application.

TIA

Dear Legalfalcon
1)Is there a template for name difference affidavit?
Do I need to get it in a court or can I prepare it myself and have it notarized?

2)My employment letter includes my average salary during my three years of experience would this be enough or should I include offer letters/payslips/bank statement that shows my salary deposits?

Thanks a lot @legalfalcon
I have seen people around the forum saying they also upload the expired passports as well. I think i will go with the current one only. all pages, just in case.
If your expired passport has stamps and visas, upload them too. No harm.

Hi, @legalfalcon

Received my notes. There are some things that I would like to know better from you. Hope you can help (as always :) )

***AGENT REVIEW A11.2*** Having analysed this application based on the documents submitted by the
applicant and the information contained in the application: A11.2 decision: Met 75(2) FSW MINIMUM

Primary Occupation: NOC 0212 ......Submitted reference letter confirms applicant's employment in declared occupation throughout specified period, and describes duties which are consistent with NOC Skill Type O Management Occupations. Since I claimed point for my sister in Canada but when i filed the application I didn't submit her resident status docs and only submitted the citizenship and passport. Later after just a week post AOR a raised a CSE and submitted her housing contract, employment letter. Does this review required concerns the relative in Canada? Even without her I have more than 67/100 points. Will this delay the file?

Hi Friends,

I wanted to ask, if anyone has claimed points for Two or more Certificates, Diplomas or Degrees?

I have obtained an ECA for my Bachelors degree from IQAS and was wondering if I can also apply for evaluation of my Btec ND Level 3 and claim points for both under Two or more certificates category :)

I looked into many topics but couldn't get an actual answer for my query.

Thanks,
It will depend on what the IQAS provides in its assessment. Nothing can be said before it.

Not sure whom you are referring to when you say DoB. If its the broth of your spouse, an approximation is fine and you can state the same in the LoE.

There is no specific number for each office. When you call the IRCC support centre, that can give you the latest status on your file, irrespective of where it is. Alternatively, you can request GCMS notes.

You will be uploading the marriage certificate. The MC and the passport would be fine.

1)Is there a template for name difference affidavit?

2)My employment letter includes my average salary during my three years of experience would this be enough or should I include offer letters/payslips/bank statement that shows my salary deposits?
You can prepare the affidavit on your own and get it notarized. Just follow some legal template and make sure that language is correct and appropriate.

The work reference letter should include:

a reference or experience letter from the employer, which
  • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
  • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits
If your work is not in Canada, you need not include the salary statement etc. However, including them strengthens the case.

Thanks for your reply @legalfalcon

I have completed my Bachelors degree for which I have already obtained ECA which states that my degree is equivalent to 4 years of bachelors degree. I just wanted to know if I apply for an ECA for my Btec Level 3 and get an ECA stating that its equivalent to a post secondary diploma then can I claim points by choosing Two or More Diploma or degree category? currently, I am just choosing Bachelors degree points.

I hope my question is expressed properly and is not confusing.

Thanks again.

Hi @legalfalcon ,

I have a problem, According to FSW point system, my score is 64. And to be eligible as FSW, you need 67 points.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp
As I was not aware of the requirement, I created the EE profile, I got my Job Seekers code and accordingly applied for SINP on 27-July.
I got 65 points in SINP point grid. What is the result that I can expect? Rejection or Approval from SINP, based on this point?
Remember, There is nothing mentioned in SINP eligibility criteria as 67 point requirement.
http://www.saskatchewan.ca/residents/moving-to-saskatchewan/immigrating-to-saskatchewan/saskatchewan-immigrant-nominee-program/applicants-international-skilled-workers/international-skilled-worker-saskatchewan-express-entry
Any reply would be highly appreciated.
