@legalfalcon

Hi I am FSWO AOR 16th Feb
my medical is passed (16th March) and RPRF requested on 27th April, (in RPRF letter it was mentioned that my eligibility and admissibility review is currently in progress)
but since then my BG status is NA.( its 2 months now)

My question is there any possibility that no one has looked at my file since 27th April, as there is no movement in the same.

Awaiting your response!
I cannot predict or speculate. Usually when the RPRF request is sent, there are two different formats. The one that you got, and another which states that the eligibility is passed. In your case eligibility seems to be still under review. In some cases it may be the case that no one has worked on the file, since you were asked to upload additional documents or pay the RPRF.

The best way to know i through ordering GCMS. Anything else is just mere speculation.

Not sure what you are referring to security screening as? All files go through security screening. Someone on the forum just mention that if you see "security screening" on your GCMS notes, then to will take longer, the fact is all GCMS notes have it, but most of them are retracted under s15 /16.

To know about BGC, see https://goo.gl/7wQ5CT
By security screening, I meant the additional or detailed verifications. Certainly, it takes longer than the normal check. Mine background check has been in process for past 3 months.

Since CSIS does those security checks and are different for different applications. There are some factors that will cause delays, but all you can do is wait it out.

If your have lived at only one address and that is mentioned along with the dates of your stay, then the PCC will be valid. But in most cases a state specific PCC will not be as it does not cover the entire duration of your stay in all places, that is why PCC from PSK, which is pan india and covers the dates is preferred.
Hi legalfalcon, have you come across any applicant who was rejected for PCC even if he had PCC from PSK which effectively says that it has been issued by MoEA? Im curious as i have used this PCC...

Hi, if i had mentioned my spouse work experience in the profile but in eAPR removed it to personal history and also explained it in the LoE that since the experience letters issued by the employers had one or more mandatory details missing, they have been taken to personal history and also attached such experience letters with the LOE to prove the bonafide and since the spouse work ex does not have any points, should it be good to go?

I don't recall anyone being rejected who had a PCC from PSK.

If you are not getting points for the work experience, you are fine.

Hi Legalfalcon, sorry to bother you again but I'm wondering if you could help me understand the requirement to keep the Canadian residency; When I got the permanent visa, the documents mentioned that 'the permanent residence status may be revoked if you are not present in Canada for at least 730 days within 5 years'; Does this mean I would live in Canada for at least 2 years within 5 years time since my permanent visa was issued ?or from the time that I got my permanent residency card which I received after the landing ? Many thanks

Hi Legalfalcon

I was in Canada on a WP till 31st March this year . I had got a ITA on 22nd Feb and thus got a PCC issued by the indian embassy in Vancouver on March 1st. However due to some other docs not being ready i had to decline the invite . I moved back to India after Canada and have just received a new ITA. Wanted to check if i can still use the PCC issued earlier or do i need to get a new one

Thanks a lot

Hello legalfalcon,

I have a question regarding reporting changes to my application. I applied for Express Entry as an Iranian citizen, while residing in Germany. In the meantime, a few months after I received my ITA, my citizenship application was accepted in Germany and I became a German citizen.

Now my question is whether this information is relevant for CIC and I should inform them about this recent change and if it can affect my application.

I would be very grateful to hear your thoughts on this.

Good to know this. I thought they selectively choose people for screening.

Your permanent residency status starts when you land after your application is approved. The PR card is merely a proof of PR.
