I am post AOR (EE FSW outland). Received schedule A ADR. I am stuck in question 10 regarding governmental positions.
12 years ago, I have worked as a junior pharmacist in a governmental healthcare centre that falls under the ministry of health, and never had administrative position. Now I am residing in another country for many years. In my e-APR application I mentioned this job under personal history and chose "employment" not "government"
Now, I am confused whether I should have considered it a government position or no? And what to do in schedule A question 10? Am I considered a civil servant? Should I correct this information? Or write none in governmental positions?

A government position means that you were appointed under the executive powers by the government. Working as an employee in a government agency is not a government position.

Eg. A judge is appointed by the president in most countries. Police officers are appointed by the state governors by executive authority etc.

My parents hold Supervisas (approved last September) they provided their medicals a month before, i.e. Aug 21. Due to some reasons they couldn't travel and now are planning to travel in September. Would their be any issue related to expired Medicals?

No. They can travel anytime during the validity of the visa. When they land, they have to show valid medical insurance.

Hi everyone,

I am post PPR applicant

and expecting COPR in few days (passport submitted already )

My passport's first page lamination paste is not proper, some wrinkles are there and at some points it is not securely attached.

Will it make any affect on visa stamping as this ''the laminate on the bio-data page must be securely attached'' is mentioned in RFV.

if yes what are the further steps to change passport number or get the renewed passport stamped

It will not matter to IRCC as long as your passport has not been tampered with. However, you may be stopped at the airport if an officer believes that your passport may have tampered .

You should get it renewed. Once you get it renewed, you do not have to update the number anywhere, you will just travel with both passports, since the old one has valid visas.

@legalfalcon My PR shows approved on April 28th but I still haven't received COPR. No response to multiple webforms sent to HKVO or Ottawa. Any suggestions at this point? Would a GCMS notes help?

@legalfalcon I ordered IRCC notes related to my PR application and CBSA (Security) notes in early April and I got my IRCC notes on May 9th. In the document it does say requested date was May 2nd and I got them a week later it seems. Regarding CBSA notes, I received an email stating that they need 45 more days to process my request. I received this CBSA email on May 5th.

In my IRCC notes it says that my Security has not started, but CBSA email says it needs 45 more days to process. Does this mean that Security Screening has started within those 3 days?

I can't imagine that CBSA just wants an extra 45 days just to send me a document saying that my security has not started. But than again, this is IRCC and everything is backed up and CBSA is just too busy. To note: I did call IRCC call centre at the end of May and I asked about Security and the agent said that it has not yet started, but I'm thinking maybe agents are programmed to say that even if there might be a Blank field after security. Maybe Security might be underway but still says not started behind it, they just haven't updated it yet. I don't know, what do you think?

I ordered GCMS notes anyways in the hopes of knowing whether they have mailed out the COPR or not.

A month and a half ago I submitted requested documents, including schedule A. I have just been asked for another schedule A but it doesn't say why. Would this be because there was an error on the last one? Or would they have specified that? Maybe it's because I changed my address? Can you please advise @legalfalcon ? I am very worried as I don't want to mess up my application this late (AOR OCT 2020)

Eligibility - in progress
Medical - passed
Criminality - passed
Application was submitted in August 2021.

1) How many days in general is required in eligibility stage? Pls share your insights.

I and my Son got PR Cards on end of the March
IRCC request new photo for my wife which we have send them on 2nd week of April and has been delivered, i have proof as well because i have send through registered post with express post.
Still we haven't got my wife PR card.
What we can do ?
I have raise web enquiry as well but no reply at all.

Please I need your guide.

I submitted my PR application under Federal self employed early March 2020~ paper based. (I got my permanent AOR and linked my application the same week before the temporary pause in issuing AOR) with no single word from IRCC till date.

My application processing timeline will be 100% complete in few weeks (by August 2022). I guess they used 29 months processing timeline for those that submitted earlier even though present average processing timeline for federal self employed application is 41 months on IRCC website, but they only used 29 months processing time for earlier applicants (our timeline is reflecting 29 months timeline).

My question is this: Can I fill for mandamus once my application timeline is complete in the next 8 weeks or will IRCC claim they are using the generic 41 months for both earlier and late submission.

Please I need a guide before I pay for mandamus by August.

It can take 60-90 days for the PR card to be processed.

I am applying for a study permit. I am a seafarer with an extensive travel history.

1)
This history also includes a lot of countries which have no stamps on my passport. There exists no evidence that i have visited them. Should i mention them? i have accurate dates of my visits but there is no way i can prove them except by using the official log of my Ship's port calls. I can attach them if needed later but i dont plan to attach them with my study permit cause that would add unnecessary paperwork with my application

2)
I had applied for a Schengen tourist visa and i entered the Schengen zone in France and exited it in Italy. In between i did visit 5 other countries but they have no stamps on my passport. How do you suggest me to proceed with this?

I had visited Canada and USA while working on the cargo ship. I have the exact dates as well. I plan to mention these visits. I hope this is the right thing to do.
