Hii Asivad,

I am submitting Schedule A along with my eAPR application, and I am slightly confused about one question:

"Have you made previous claims for refugee protection in Canada or at a Canadian visa office abroad, in any other country or countries, or with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)?"

I am a Palestinian Refugee (TO EGYPT) living in Egypt, and I have never made previous claims for refugee protection to Canada. Should I answer "Yes" or "No"?

I can't figure out whether the question is dedicated for refugee claims (TO CANADA) or to any other country as well since the phrase "in any other country or countries" may be just an interpretation for the word "abroad".

Please help, I am submitting my eAPR application soon.
Thanks!

Thanks Asivad Anac for your prompt replies.

I have one more situation at hand: Can you please tell me if I need to put my biological father's name in family info. It has been 3 decades since my mom's separation and we haven't kept any contact with him since then. Plus I have absolutely no idea about his Date Of Birth / Date Of Death.

But I have filled in my step-dad's details.

That should suffice.

Hi,

I completed and submitted my e-APR on Friday December 2nd.

I just got an email in on my account that, you application has been received and the status are either "not started" or "not needed at this time" currently. What is the next step ?

When do you get an AOR ?

Thanks.

Simultaneously with application submission, at times delayed by up to 24 hours. It shows up in your MyCIC inbox.

Your answer must be Yes. It is not an interpretation, it is an additional question.

In that case, can I apply with my current situation as a Refugee to Egypt, given that I am holding:

1. Regular Valid Palestinian Passport issued by Palestinian Authorities.
2. Travel Document for Palestinian Refugee issued by Egypt.

Hi, I just had a query that, while filling up the express entry form,I had mentioned that I will be bringing $16000 for me and my spouse.

Now,do I have to bring the exact same amount while landing ???

or

Anything above the minimum POF for 2 people ($15,143) will be acceptable.

Asivad plz help.

Dear Asivad,

I have submitted my eAPR on December 5, but I'm worried about the following matter. I provided pay slips for last 6 months along with my reference letter for my current job, but I didn't include bank statements for the account corresponding to salary deposits, only bank statements for my saving account as PoF. Is this going to be a problem?

Unlikely to be a problem.

Thank you for your answer. Is there anything you would suggest me to do to be on the safe side?

Nothing required. IRCC doesn't mandate that your POF must be from your salary account so there is nothing to be worried about on that front.

Hi Asivad and other Seniors,

I have a question regarding POF, I am submitting the following documents as POF, please let me know if these are sufficient?

1. Balance certificate from Bank. This certificate includes my Current Balance, my name and address, bank name, address, contact details and logo. Signature of the branch manager and stamp of the bank.
2. Last six months account statement from bank containing all the above said details and account open date.
3. Notarized gift deed from my father.
4. Notarized affidavit from my father.

The balance certificate from bank does not contain the average balance of the last six months, thats why I have provided the account statement from last six months, is this ok?
