Hi Asivad,

In the process of filling the online forms after ITA, I have some questions as follows. May you help me to give a few answers? Thank you so much.

1. I had a refused and closed application to Nova Scotia Province Nominee Program 3 years ago and the reason of refusal is the settlement and employment plan did not meet the eligibility criteria. It was a paper-based application and all the paper documents I submitted were returned. I addressed honestly my previous application in the process of applying SINP (Saskatchewan’s PNP) and passed the SINP. Now I am preparing to apply for permanent residence under the Saskatchewan’s PNP.

How to answer the following two questions in EE’s form?
a)
Has XXX you been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country? (Y/N)

Yes to this.

b)
Has XXX ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country? (Y/N)

No to this if that NS refusal is the only refusal you've ever had.

2. For my former government position (as a policeman) 17 years ago which is not related with my NOC(National Occupational Classification), will I be required by CIC to provide a certificate or reference letter about it?

No. Mention it truthfully in your application where asked.

3. For my wife’s travel history, she cannot provide documents like visa to prove it. Will she be asked to provide her visa by CIC about the travelling?

She cannot prove her travel history because she held official passport of her employer for a business trip and she returned it back after her business trip.

No.

4. Mailing address
If I will have a chance of receiving PPR(passport request) in the future, will I be asked to provide a more reliable address which will be used to receive the stamped passport? Or will they just use the mailing address I filled in EE form to mail the visa?

Mailing address provided in EE doesn't matter. Everything is online - PPR letter is sent to your mail or MyCIC mailbox or both.

5. Education experience
If I have university’s degrees, do I need to provide my second period study like middle school?

No.

6. I will not upload my wife’s reference letter because she has been working outside Canada and that could not give me any extra CRS points. But I will fill my wife’s work experience in the work history subcategory of EE form honestly to avoid being suspected of misrepresenting.
I will upload a letter of explanation in the corresponding placeholder. Please help me to consider whether the following explanation is acceptable?

Her work experiences were received outside Canada and cannot give me any CRS points. It is a little difficult for her to get reference letters. If you need more documents to identify her work experiences, she will collect and upload them with her best efforts after your request for them.

Unnecessary but you can do this if you wish. This entire section will be ignored by the officer the minute they realize that your spouse doesn't have Canadian work experience. No points asked for, none given. No explanations needed, if any provided they will be summarily ignored as they are irrelevant to this PR application. No misrepresentation if you leave out that experience from Work history - if anything, it will save the officer aome minutes of their life which would otherwise be wasted on an irrelevant piece of information.
:)

7. In the personal activities subcategory, if I fill two periods of time like the following, will it be considered leaving gap in time and will be asked to fill the gap?

XXX – 2013/5 XXX
2013/6- now XXX

No.

8. Do I need to scan and prove the visa page and the blank pages of my passport?

No. Just the bio-page(s) of your valid passport.

Many Thanks Asivad Anac! As always! :)

Need another suggestion, as I prepared all my work-experience letters in Oct/Nov 2014, i.e. when I had applied under the FSWP program, however by the time my application reached the quota was already full.

Now, while I will take an updated letter from my current company. Is it okay to submit experience letters dated Nov 2014 & earlier? As all the companies (count 4) I was working in, were before 2014, i.e. till 31st Dec 2013.

Appreciate your support!

Many Thanks!

thanks! One last query regarding personal history of past 10 years;

Until Dec 2013, I had worked in 4 different companies (all based out of India/South-EastAsia), and have experience letters from all. In Jan 2014, I took a sabbatical, and traveled to UK, US, Canada. The longest haul being in the USA. Total travel duration was close to 5 months, and during this period I was unemployed. How do you suggest I show this part in the personal/employment history of past 10 years? Do you think it will create an issue? I was only employed again in Aug 2014 in DXB. So total unemployed gap would be 7 months.

So many queries as I have received ITA and in process to complete my online profile. Many thanks for your patience and understanding.

This won't appear under Employment history as you weren't employed for this duration. This would appear as 'Unemployed' under Personal history. This would also appear under Travel history. This sabbatical won't make the slightest difference to your PR application.

Hello Asivad,

Hope you are doing good.

I'm currently in studying in Canada and applied for my EE-FSW last week.

Now, I have applied for my wife's visitor visa in order to attend my Convocation.

So, if she gets visitor visa and lands in Canada, should it be informed to CIC..?

And also, if I travel to India for a month during my study permit, should that also be informed to CIC...?

Thank you.

Hello asivad,
In the OINP application form, there is a section saying if you or your spouse applied any other pnp? Should I include any previous pnp application or leave it blank since I have not received any result from the other province yet?
Any help please

Hi Asivad,

I see that you're still active in helping out everyone in the forum. I have a few more queries:

1. While I am about to upload my docs, this is what I see "Passport/Travel Documents (Multiple)(Required)" Similarly for the police certificate it says "PCC (Multiple)(required)". I am not clear as to why either of these would be 'multiple' docs. I have only a single passport and a single police certificate as I haven't lived outside my home country for more than 1 month.

2. My wife is the principal applicant and I am coming as a dependent spouse. However i have been asked to upload every single work document on the personalised checklist. Is that normal?

Thanks once again - and good luck to everyone on the forum who is in the process of completing the ITA.

Hello Asivad. My situation is a very unique/complicated one. I will lay out the basics here and PM you the personal info.

Basically, I'm an international student from Dubai, living in Canada, but have a Nigerian passport. I grew up my whole life in Dubai and know nothing and have not lived in Nigeria at all. Few years ago, I came to study at SFU and after about 2-ish years I couldn't afford to pay the fees anymore because international student fees are ridiculously high.

My study permit expired last October, but I had 90 days in the country to apply for an extension on the study permit. But for the same financial reasons, I didn't. My life is completely based here now so my plan is to live here. My plan right now is to travel back to Dubai and apply for a WORK PERMIT but I don't know how to go about it. I have a company that would like to hire me but they need an LMIA I hear apparently.

So my question is, given my situation and all the years I've already lived here, and now that I'm living on an expired study permit, and given my plan to return on a work permit after I travel to Dubai and with my passport origin, can you lay out the steps I need to take to apply for one? And what type of work permit ((LMIA) and how long it will approximately take?

I would appreciate it more than life.

Thank You.

If you've already submitted post ITA application, you don't need to inform IRCC about any of this.

Be honest. The question is about the act of applying to a province not the outcome.

Generic term. Doesn't apply to each applicant.

If you'e provided details in your Work history, you'll be prompted for documents. Either upload whatever documents you have (relevant or otherwise) or remove all details from your Work history section and this requirement will disappear. Either way, one can't claim (or get) any points for spouse's non-Canadian work experience.

Thanks once again - and good luck to everyone on the forum who is in the process of completing the ITA.

PM me if you wish but answer these questions as well.

What is your legal status inside Canada as on date, it is more than 90 days since Oct '15? Are you considering immigration? Will this company hire you in a NOC 0/A/B job?
