Hi Asivad,

Here is a synopsis of my work exp:-

1. Technical support - 7 months from may'08-dec'08.
2. US healthcare claims support - 3.4 years from jan'09-may'12.
3. Administrative Assistant - 2.5 years from may'12-oct'14.
My question is can I mention 3 different noc codes for the above 3 different job roles.
Does EE allow it? And if at all I put three noc codes, will provinces consider me for all the 3 noc codes or only the ones in which I have worked for more than a year?
Please help. TIA.
You can showcase different NOCs in EE. Recommend that you choose either 2 or 3 above as Primary NOC because you have substantial work experience in both of them.

Hi Asivad Anac,

Great job you're doing here (y)

Please I need your advise. I got ITA yesterday but I just discovered I made a mistake in my EE profile regarding my education. I had indicated that it was a Canadian degree instead of indicating that I had an ECA and then providing my ECA details. I only discovered this now when I was wondering why I wasn't asked for my ECA details.

Anyway, it turns out my CRS score will remain the same either way. But I am now seriously considering declining the ITA instead of just changing the information in my eAPR and getting rejected for misinformation. Or is there another way out of this for me? Please advise.

Decline ONLY if your score is high enough to land you an ITA in the near future. I wouldn't recommend that though. You can make those changes in your post ITA profile and continue with submission and, if you are very worried, submit a short LOE (Letter of explanation) highlighting the error in your pre-ITA profile and your changes in the post-ITA profile and the fact that your CRS did not change.

Another issue I have is that, I attended the foreign (Dubai) campus of a Scottish institution but my qualification is a UK degree and there is no mention of the foreign campus on the credentials. My ECA also says that it is a UK degree since my transcripts was sent directly from the home campus in Scotland. What would be the right thing to enter where it says 'Country of study' and 'City of study'? Should it be Edinburgh/Scotland/UK or Dubai/UAE?

Always be honest in your PR application, it helps. This will show up in your personal history that you were geographically in the Middle East and not in Europe at that point in time. Go with Dubai/UAE. And to avoid any confusions, attach a short LOE here to explain this further.

Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks for your response Asivad Anac.

My score is 478, is this high enough? I'm actually worried so I'll probably just include an LOE if I decide to go along with the eAPR.

So an LOE for the change of education details, I could say something like... " I initially went with Edinburgh/Scotland instead of Dubai/UAE in my pre-ITA because that was what is written on my ECA", which I probably would have had to explain anyway if I had indicated Dubai/UAE in my pre-ITA right?

One other thing is my NOC occupation. I indicated NOC 2251 as my primary occupation, however in the two work experience I provided, one is 2251 and the other is 2253 - both closely related and in the same group. I'm worried that I have more experience (3 more months) in 2253 which I didn't indicate as my primary occupation. Btw I have more than one year experience in both NOC occupations.

Hello Asivad,

I am new to this forum and I have a very important enquiry and I was referred to you, i.e. someone suggested that I ask you since you have been most helpful on this forum and I can see that they are right.

I am currently being assessed by Ontario for the PNP after receiving AOR on August 25th, so I figure if I was to obtain a positive response from them, I should have a PNP by the beginning of October then apply as soon as I receive an ITA.

For the OOPNP application they asked for a passport valid for at least 2 years or else an explanation letter. My current passport is only valid till next august (2016) so I provided the latter since I would have needed at least 2 months to have a new passport issued since I am currently outside my home country and the embassy is pretty slow.

In general I do intend to get a new passport since I am visiting my home country for a week or so in 2 weeks time so I will issue a new passport ; moreover, I had changed my signature (to one in english) since 6 years ago (when I got my first passport).

So my questions are as follows and I am sorry if it is a bit too much but I think they might increase risk of a rejection:

1- New passport means a new passport number, I would have to update my EE profile with the new info, but do I have to update OOPNP as well and would it affect my PNP chances since I already got an AOR and PNP nomination might be just around the corner (with emphasis on might)?

2- Would the difference between the signatures in my old and new passport cause any issue or shall I keep the old one (but I had ditched it long ago since a signature in english is much more convenient so it might seem like I am forging my old signature) ? P.S: For the OOPNP application, I signed using my current passport signature not my signature in english.

3- What is the minimum passport validity required when sending my FSW application?

I hope you can advise me because I tried emailing my specific visa office and they have decided to only reply to people with case and file numbers.

Regards,
Hello Asivad... Can you please answer my enquiries? Btw I did manage to contact ONtario Immigration and they said they would want me to send full scans of my new passport via email and that it would not be an issue to have a new passport and a new signature.

However, CIC might be different so do you know how they would handle it?

Regards,

I suggest you just send all the materials to Ontario office and worry about CIC later. It is too early to worry about CIC when your first step (Ontario PNP) is not completed.

I am not necessarily worried, but as I said I am going to have my passport changed in 2 weeks while on vacation so I would want to know before I sign it.

You need to show proof that your aunt is in fact your aunt and that she does really live in Canada.

1. Proof of Relationship:

For that, you will need to show proof that she is your related to your mother or father. And that your mother/father are related to you (in case their names are not mentioned in your passport). I had to prove that my brother is my brother. My passport mentions "Father's Name" so I uploaded the following:
- My passport showing my dad's name
- A family register (translated to English by an official translator) that shows that we have the same Father.

2. Proof of Status:

For that, you need documents to prove that your aunt is actually living in Canada and is a PR or Canadian. So you need to upload:
- Her passport or PR
- Any Bills (electricity, telephone, credit card) that prove she is currently living in Canada.

I uploaded my brother's Canadian Passport as well as his phone bills dating 3 months back.

Hello Asivad,

While I was checking my eligibility for Express Entry NOC profile, for one of the experience section there is a question mentioned by CIC which says "In the last 10 years, how many years of skilled work experience do you have? It must have been continuous, paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation."

As you know I have in the last 10 years, an experience of 5.5 years in NOC "O" & 3 years in NOC "A". So given my case, does this mean that I can choose only one NOC from the above to account for my experience (i.e. either A or O) ????? The reason is ...please the the BOLD RED comments which says it has to be only in one occupation . Hence seeking your advice.

This is true ONLY for FSW points. You will get 9/11/13/15 points based on experience gained under a single NOC within the last 10 years and these add up towards the minimum required 67/100.

For CRS purposes, you get maximum points for 3 years of work experience gained across multiple NOCs.

In your case, you will get 13 points for your NOC 0 job or 11 points for your NOC A job depending on which you choose as your Primary NOC. Regardless of whichever you choose as primary NOC, you will be eligible for maximum CRS points under Skills Tranaferability.

Definitely high enough to land another ITA by October, still recommend that you don't decline this one.

Doesn't matter now - you've got the ITA. All this jugglery is to get a high enough score to land the ITA. Now you have to actually prove that you deserve those 478 points.

OK. As I am starting to fill my EE profile, but for doing that I need to first qualify the eligibility to get a reference no. Now to complete the eligibility I have an option of only choosing my NOC "O" to become eligible. So the question is --- Can I choose NOC A for filling the EE profile (while continue to choose NOC "O" for eligibility perspective) ??
