Hi Asivad and others,

Another question today :-( :-(

When I applied for my PEI PNP in june , they didn't ask any specific format of work ref letter like the one we submit for PR appln.
They are so flexible that I just submit work ref letter from my manager and gave to pnp along with other employment proofs.

Now for PR Application to CIC , I got work reference letter from HR as per CIC format and submitted with PR application on Oct 9

Should I give this updated work ref letter(from HR) again to PEI pnp office ? .Ofcourse there is no noc change . duties are same ,

I completely forgot that ... pls suggest .

Not required. They've already nominated you.

We would need a official bank statement with last 3 months balance or 6 months? Further if the spouse/ parent transfers money, do we show a gift deed ? Also is there a format for the gift deed ?

Last 6 months. Yes, you'll need a gift deed/signed self-declaration. Check the 'Source of Funds' thread for formats.

3. If we have a loan amount, do we need to show additional money (loan repayment money) apart from the required amount ?

This reflects in the bank statement. Is that Ok? Not a problem.

4. Ref letters - We got an ITA without any LMIA/ Povincial nomination. And the spouse has worked but not in Canada. Do we need to show employee reference letters for the spouse ?

Not required. Remove spouse's work experience from the application.

The application prior to the ITA includes the spouse work exp. further we havent paid the fees and are still yet to upload documents but the spouse form includes the work exp in both work and travel history. The spouse has traveled abroad multiple times for work purposes. Do we keep the work ex of the spouse or delete it? If we keep it, do we now need work ref letters ?

Doesn't matter. Makes no difference to your score or your application. You can safely delete it.

thanks asivad ...
sometimes, I do ask stupid questions to you and waster your time . but the fear of rejection is making me think all these things .. I should never become a VO officer in CIC . :-)

The only stupid question is the one you don't ask! The process can be stressful - relax, have a drink and enjoy the weekend!

Hey Asivad, you have mentioned that doing a gift deed for money that was transferee cash might be problematic.
This money is from a car we sold but in the sale contract the amount is not 7k but 1k. This is done in my country to avoid insane notary commision fees.
How can we make a gift deed for this money. It was my husbands car and he has the ownership docs.

This will be a problem as the documents won't support your claim. Workaround is to deposit 7K in a bank account belonging to your spouse or relative or friend and getting it transferred to your account as a gift along with signed self-declaration from the donor stating that this is a gift not a loan.

JUST IN CASE IF YOU MISSED IT

Hey Asivad Need your advise

I sent my passport for immigaration visa on 12 Jan and was received on 13th Jan at Ottawa office.

I have a family emergency and I have to go to Pakistan. I have already booked my flight for 27th of Jan. Now I think i have to go in few days. My passports are still with CIC.

Do you think if I will get my passport by next week? Or in anyway can I call CIC to make this quick?

Thanky you

You can try calling them (CSE has a longer turnaround time) and requesting them to expedite the process. There are 10+ days to go till your travel and I'm fairly certain that CIC will return your passport by then. Have you checked the return tracker yet?

Hi Asivad,
i know this might b asked multiple times in the forum but I am not aware of this.

I have been living in Toronto since 2+ years. So for eAPR application, do i require a PCC to be done?
Also, if after eAPR i go back to my home country for a month or two, then do i hv to provide a new PCC from my home country or toronto?
I am asking it now coz PCC takes time and I want to get things done fast and dont want to lose any invitation opportunity bcoz of delay in PCC.

Thank you

No. RCMP certificate is required only if and when CIC asks for it during the process.

Travel after e-APR doesn't matter to your PR application so no PCC is required then.

Thank you for the reply.

Its not yet activated. Mycic still shows "open", i think it will finalize first and then the tracker will get act activated.

Am i going to get mycic email before the update on mycic or i have to keep checking it?

Hello Asivad,

FOR POF, I have a big debit from my account when I paid my down payment of my apartment. Do i need to explain why did i have that money take out of my account to CIC?

My common in law partner also transfer me 5000 after that to help cover the cost of the down payment.

Thanks

As long as you have the required funds in the account, you need not worry!
