P.S - A prospective applicant needs to show that he/she has enough funds to pay/meet FIRST YEAR's tution fees + LIVING EXPENSES ($10000) so guess your $24,000 savings would do.ju04 said:Hey lovepreet can you give me some advice?
Hey Ju04. How you doing ? Sorry I couldn't reply earlier (been busy ;D )
I am applying for my study permit for january but I am currently unemployed and I am using my own savings of 24,000 CAD. Since I don't have any previous experience in Human Resources would it be wise to submit a letter of Intent? and i also have a 2 yr gap.
Based on whats been going on and what I have seen lately is that One's previous qualifications should match with the prospective studies or the the applicant must posses the related work experience in order to have the strong chances of a succesful study permit. So if you ain't got any one of these two it involves a considerable risk of refusel. I advise you to go for education related to your previous qualification or job.
It is mentioned nowhere that a letter of intent/Statement of purpose is required So I think submitting it won't make much difference to any application.
So would my unemployment, 2 yr gap, lack of experience, and my own saving will lead to a refusal? I will be applying to the buffalo office from here in NY, I contacted them and they said they don't require a personal info form or anything like that. Your help will be appreciated.
Buddy As long as Gap of more than a year is supported by an evidence or in other words as long as you have explanation & proof to justify your GAP it won't be a problem.
Consider your own savings as something +ve. Don't think unemployment, lack of experience make any difference.
Any input is welcome.

Congrats and Wish you all success in Canada. You have been a guiding force for all the forum members especially students, who know very little about procedural aspects of admission and visa related matters. We have also submitted our application in VFS Delhi on 28th July. Let's hope for the best.
God Bless You.

Thank you Rupinder. It would take a month or maybe more under university category to hear from embassy. Keep yourself busy and the time will fly (i empathise with you and agree it is hard to take the mind off)rupinder89 said:Congrats bro ... i applied before you and still no medical call from CHC... i applied under University Category... and its making me feel nervous with every passing day..................
