I am looking to bring my Thai wife over to Canada for a couple months, in which I would provide all neccessary care in terms of room and board. She has a son with another man who is 5 years old, as well as a son with me who is 7 months old. Her parents have offered to take care of her other son while visting me in Canada. They would also take care of our son if need be, depending on how much more difficult the process becomes while trying to apply for a TRV with him in the mix aswell. I guess the hiccups I see are... the fact that she helps her parents manage their rice land, in which case she is offered compensation in terms of free housing and money for food. So she won't have any letter from an employer or pay stubs to show. I also see that Canada is mainly concerned that you will actually LEAVE at the end of your stay. And her main tie to show that will be her son, but will that be enough? If all looks clear to you gurus, what type of available funds do they like to see in a persons bank account for a 1 or 2 month stay, considering I will be her undertaker.

Thanks for your time.

you did not state your immigration status in canada. If you are a citizen have you initiated spousal sponsorship for her? if you have it may be a lot harder to convince the vo she is coming back even though canada allows dual intent. if her financial status is ok in Thailand I dont see how she will have much problem just because she has no salary stubs and employment letter

Get her to detail a letter stating what she does 2. You will send her a notorized letter stating you are inviting her over and you will pher living and accomodation exp and more if you can. also state she is the mother of your son and submit a birth cert to prove this. send along your financial statements as well

she should be able to make it
