Do you want to change from a student visa to a work permit?

If so, first you will have to find an employer who is willing to hire you. That employer will then have to complete a Labour Market Opinion and submit it for approval. If the Labour Market Opinion is approved, you can then apply for a work permit.

1. You have to find an employer.
2. The employer has to obtain a Labour Market Opinion from HRSDC after advertising on the jobbank for 2 week and then demonstrate that there are no Canadians or Permanent residents qualified for the job and the wages are comparable.
3. Once you have an approved LMO you can apply for a work permit.
