Test QA - Delhi Uni BA P - Third Division - Time Spent in UK on Student Visa

Hi,

I am a software testing professional and working for an MNC in Chennai (IND) and have a total experience of 8+ years now. I am interested in applying for Canada PR through EE or PNP. But some of my life circumstances does not convince me very much about getting a very positive and successful application through.

May be if you read this and can provide me some idea if I should go ahead and give a try for Canada immigration:-

1. I have a BA (P) - 3rd division degree from Delhi University (2001) pass out. WES Online tool tells me 3 year undergraduate equivalency.

2. 8+ years of experience in software testing. (4 years in UK and 4+ in India).

3. I went to UK on a student visa (2006-2008). Registered in a college but never went for classes and started working. Got a Post Study Work Visa (2008-2010) through a different college (bought college certificate through a Pakistani). College was raided and exposed in news (BBC). Returned to India on expiry of PSW-Visa (2010).

4. Stayed at home for 10 months and resumed career in software testing from July-2011. Been working since and switched few companies.

5. Visited Canada for 2 weeks in 2012 on Business Visa and US in 2013 (3 months) as Onsite.


Can someone please review my information and tell me what are my actual chances of getting through a PR for Canada? Can you please also suggest me if I should study (genuinely) for a high degree to obtain more points?

Your PSW-visa is troubling, but isn't necessarily a barrier to Canadian PR, as CIC allows people living in foreign countries out of status to apply.

If you're eligible, I see no reason why you shouldn't apply.
What is your score like ?

Thanks for the response Istari. I have not yet created my profile to get the score. I know I need to get my Indian degree evaluation done and IELTS scored. I did IELTS once in UK in 2009 and scored over all 7.5 and hope I can manage that score after some self preparation.

My PSW expired peacefully and I returned to India but yes if Canadian officials begin to investigate my PSW (is legal) but the College (on whose diploma-certificate this was issued) was in negative. And at that time UK Home Office rejected all application from that college as being bogus. I was lucky to get the visa before it was raided.

So I am just worried on that part, though I am working okey now since that UK time and have visited few countries afterwards but on short official visits.
