Test Completed But BACKGROUND CHECK in progress.

On your online portal when you log in. AOR, test invite, test completed, FP required, FP received. It should show there. Takes about 3 weeks to update after you send it.

Thank you for some reason mine doesn't even show FP Requested ( not the old, not the new)

I will advise you send email to the processing Center and request for a oath invitation and follow up with call but if your background check completed Feb 2023 I think you should get an update on your LPP soon.

Background was Feb 13 2023. Everyone I have seen on this thread got LPP done within a month.

I can't request oath invitation until I have "decision made" (I.e. LPP complete). Is there something I can do to trigger LPP? I will try asking of the want any further information.

I went and got second set of fingerprints done a couple of weeks back as I was done waiting for the letter and ATIP notes were saying FP needed, but today I got a letter for fingerprint after I did mine already. Fortunately address is same as what I have already sent it to so I am assuming it should be good but any ideas if this further complicates the thing or they should be ok with fingerprints I have sent them a couple of weeks back before the letter itself

Finally!! And after more than 2 years.. I'm happy to share that my application was updated and the background check and LPP are now completed!

Timelines:

Mar 2021: Application submitted
Aug 2021: AOR
Nov 2021: Test Scheduled
Nov 2021: Test Completed
Nov 2021: 1st FP request
Dec 2021: 1st FP received
Dec 2022: 2nd FP request
Dec 2022: 2nd FP received
Feb 2023: BG Check Completed
Mar 2023: Interview Required
Mar 2023: LPP Completed

Oath invitation is the next step for me. Hope that will come sooner than later..

My advice is just to be patient and hang in there... You can be proactive and follow up with IRCC but unfortunately that does not always help, especially when the application is stuck in the security clearance. There's little to no information that they share in those cases. My application was stuck in security clearance for 16 months. I contacted IRCC by phone and by email countless number of times without getting any useful information.

Thanks to everyone in this forum who helped by sharing their information, timelines, and perspectives. And best of luck to anyone that has their application still in progress, especially to those with the security clearance pending.

Hi, am a May 2022 applicant, family application, for both me and spouse, test passed for both of us,and for me background check just got completed March 2023, but spouse is still in progress.

Received both CBSA and CSIS notes for spouse. CSIS shows no personal information located,not sure what this means? while CBSA shows in progress since July, 2022. Contacted MP, Mp says within processing time.

I'm really glad you finally got LPP Completed. Can I ask how long it took between BG Check, Interview Required, and LPP Completed?

Congrats! I had my background (security screening) cleared in Feb but still waiting for LPP. Did you do anything to speed up the process after your background was cleared? What did they ask during interview?

Quick Question Guys,

On the tracker, are we suppose to see if FP are request and when they are received ?

They asked me for FP twice now, and in both cases it didn't show that is was asked or received.

Just want to make sure they got the FP
