You're well under 12 months. Nothing to worry about yet. 2021 applicants are still waiting. You may have to wait for 8-10 months from the time your security screening started (ask IRCC on phone for the date).

Tomorrow will mark 11 months from my application date. Yes, I know some 2021, 2020 and even 2019 applicants are waiting.
On phone they didn’t tell me when the security screening started they said they cannot see that information.

Everything else including background check is pending. Up on calling IRCC I got to know that Criminality has been marked passed on Oct 14, 2022 but Security is still pending.



Anyone with experience in similar scenario, please let me know what to expect and how long does it take

Hello, We are in similar boat. I live in Halifax but for reasons my application is being processed in MTL. My BG is IP and hoping this will be cleared when IRCC gets my Fingerprints. We just have to exercise patient and hope all this will at some point.

Is it normal if they sent FP request but the tracker hasn't been updated with that information? I saw others who received such request have that FP line in their timeline.

Hello, I got FP request email from MTL 2 weeks ago too but the request has not been updated on my online tracker. it's now looking normal with MTL that they dont update FG request on the tracker maybe until when the FP is received. We shall see.

I know. That's what I was thinking too. If I can't get the card before I leave, I'll let my friend mail it back to my country to me. We did it before for visa, she mailed my passport back with the visa on it.

How do you know the start date of security screening? and What's your AOR date?

I called IRCC, he said he cannot see the information.
I requested ATIP to CSIS, they replied on Jan 17, and just say it's still in progress.

AOR: Feb 15 test completed at Sept 02, everything else are in progress.

I requested ATIP to IRCC and CBSA on Nov, no reply from IRCC until today. CBSA replied me, and it shows Security:In Progress Criminality: Passed, it's a 6 pages PDF, but I don't see the date when they started.

I applied for CSIS as well, they replied by mail although I choose email. They just say "your security screening case is still in progress. The information has been exempted from disclosure by virtue of one or more of section 21." basically, they don't provide any details.

CBSA can shows the status of your background check. usually, they replied within 3 weeks.

Interesting, I applied for the csis notes around jan15, so i guess I'll wait a little longer. I applied for the IRCC notes sometime in october last year as well and never heard back. I guess people who even receive IRCC notes are lucky.

Time starts from AOR. You can try asking them when criminality was passed. background screening probably started around that time

my AOR was feb8/22 absolutely no update from them whatsoever since then. Next week itll be 1 year. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
