TEMPORARY RESIDENT VISA FOR BOYFRIEND

hi, i have a boyfriend in the philippines and he would like to visit me here in winnipeg.
he is working at a bank and they have this SMVL or STANDARD MANDATORY VACATION LEAVE. he will be having his SMVL this end of MAY 2011 and he would like to spend this 10-day paid vacation with me here in winnipeg.
we are also planning o get married here and when he comes back to philippines, i will sponsor him as my spouse.
based on these info, do you think we can get YES from immigraion?

i do not have plans on giving him a letter of invitation, they say that if CIC found out that the visitor has gf/bf in canada, it would be automatic rejected. so should he not mention that anymore? just vacation. thats it. do u think it will help?
