By the Grace of Almighty Allah, I have been granted permanent residence to Canada. I can't thank the members of this forum enough for their kind support and help.

Now, I l be applying for visitor visa for my parents. While trying to prepare the document checklist for visitor visa for my parents I encountered the question "Do you have a family member who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and is 18 years or older?". I believe I have to answer "No" to this question as I have still not set a foot in Canada and an Immigration Officer has not signed and dated on my COPR.

Kind advise and help would be very appreciated.

FYI, I have never been to Canada and I intend to move to Canada on end of May.

Thanks

1. Try answering "Yes" and see whether you can provide information (that proves you are a Canadian PR) for the next few questions after you answered "Yes". If you cannot, it is highly likely that you should answer "No".

2. Also, after you complete all the questionnaire and go to the "Upload Documents" stage, there is a section where you can upload a letter of explanation. Make use of it to explain your situation.

Hope this helps.

The OP is right. You have been given a COPR. You are a PR once you land as a PR.
