Temporary health coverage for fiance while visiting me in Canada

My fiance is going to come and visit a few times (3-7 days each in duration) before we get married in the US this summer and then start the Outland process. She is a US citizen.

Does anyone have any suggestions for travel medical insurance while she is coming to visit for short durations? She will have US coverage, but won't cover out of the country medical expenses.

Until recently, she was covered under her parents plan for out of country coverage, but the new temporary plan that her coverage provider put her on (since she is no longer under her parents) does not cover anything outside of the US. As a result, I would like to have her covered for all trips prior to getting married and hopefully getting her an Alberta health card, shortly thereafter.

Thank you for your help!

I know for me (also US citizen) we've been looking into cover me travel insurance by manulife . I am in Ontario, but I'm sure they'd offer that in Alberta also. It's pretty flexible, coverage from $15,000 all the way to $150,000 and you can choose a date range from when you want to be covered.

You can get some quotes here: https://www.kanetix.ca/travel-visitors-to-canada
My wife used one of the companies from this site before she got PR, and had no problems making a claim.
