I got it. Just called IRCC yesterday and the lovely guy on the phone provided me with one. Applied March 29th 2023, Outland.

Kindly update me when you get permanent one and did you get any email regarding the temporary file number ?

The permanent you get when you receive your aor. And no, I didn’t get any email regarding my temporary number. The guy just gave it to me on the phone

Applied on March 09, 2023 for outland, Called IRCC on May 01, they gave me a temporary file number, Got a AOR today May 5, 2023 it's the same number they just removed the first letter X from it.

I got mine temporary on 20 April but was strike in between still waiting for permanent??

Getting a temporary file number does nothing and is basically useless. Just be patient and wait for your AOR.
