My fellow Immigrants from TCS,
I received my PR 2 years back and I thought of drafting all the steps I performed for obtaining reference letters from TCS. Someone might get help from this topic in their PR process.
TCS will not provide you any kind of official letter for PR process. But that doesn’t mean that you should not ask for one.
1) Send mail to HR/BRM/Client Relationship manager, asking for reference letter – If they reply ”NO” stating company policy, refer this mail in “letter of explanation” of your CIC application.
2) For role and responsibilities, get the same from your manager/colleague.
Trick – Print the roll and responsibilities letter, use manager/colleague’s TCS ID card and/or business card & scan them together.
Note – As per my personal experience; possibility is that CIC may contact them on their TCS email, so make sure they are responsive and/or not left the TCS.
3) TCS Ultimatix is home to various documents. So grab as much as documents you can grab - Salary slips, compensation letters, joining letter, bonafide letter etc. Example – don’t shy away from providing last 4 years salary slips by thinking it`s irrelevant.
4) Generate various letters from TCS internal. E.g. Get letters for Internet/Phone/ Landlord etc. any kind of purpose.
5) TCS timesheet snapshot`s. This is very informative to show your TCS working hours. Capture 2-3 screenshot`s for every year you work in TCS.
6) Outside TCS India - Get letters from local HR for applying visa of your parents/relatives. They will definitely not deny you for this. Make sure to put your current designation, salary, joining date etc details.
7) TCS Canada – You can definitely use your WP application/extension letters. People even used this letter to get 50 extra points.
Worth saying here that TCS is far better that any other Indian IT company. You have lot many resources internally of getting what needed for a successful immigration process.
All the best in your immigration process.
