Umm Abdulla,

I would suggest he/she to consult the doctor first, so the doctor can clarify that he/she is fit and normal. Then he or she can apply if everything is normal. I think the past history will only count for criminal activities. If you are sick in the past and now you got better, I can't see any reason why that one can't apply for Immigration.

I'm sure seniors got more suggestions.....................

i think that if u r absolutely fit now then there must not be any problem. but make sure that there is no symptom of the problem at all. very good suggestion by rizcom123, consult a doc first then apply.

I suggest you have an X ray done first first by your own doctor because sometimes a previous TB infection leave some scare tissue that looks like active TB. You may need a letter from your doctor to certify that you are treated and cured, also keep any previous x ray you've done just in case they ask for it. (I work in hospital with TB patient.)

What will happen with previous TB is that the medical will be furthered after the original x-ray and the OP will be directed back to the DMP to have have a sputum test (takes about 8 weeks for results) and then another x-ray. If there is no evidence of active TB, the OP, if a visa is issued, will have to report regularly to a TB clinic in Canada for surveillance.
