Taxes deduction for Unaccompanied child

Hi there,

I have unaccompanied child living back in my country who I financially support. but he is not in Canada and I just send money to child’s mother bank account. May claim tax deduction for that at the end of year?

Don't think you can if you are not the primary caregiver and not living in the same house/country. I am not tax accountant.
