Taking Summer (Scheduled Break) and Fall Off (Other break)- International Student

Hi,

My partner is an International Student, and they had the summer term off as a regular scheduled break.

If they takes break during the fall semester, is it considered a Summer + Fall break, or only a Fall break? IRCC has a break limit of 150 days, so I was wondering if they can take the summer and fall off without any circumstances if the leave is authorized by the DLI.

Summer will be considered as scheduled break, fall will be unscheduled break...

but does the unscheduled break cause any trouble in this case if it is authorized by the DLI ??
