Taking biometrics for a BOWP during COVID 19 in Toronto

Hi,
I recently applied for a BOWP and received the letter requesting that I take my biometrics. All Service Canada and Visa Application Centers are closed and I'm not able at this day to drive to the US border to re enter Canada (and unsure to which extent I would be able to leave and re-enter the country).

Does any one have an advice on how I can proceed? Would an airport such as Billy Bishop allow me to go through the POE without having to take a flight? It seems a little far fetched...
My current Work Permit expires on May 11

Everyone has been given an extension for biometrics since centres are closed. You have implied status until a decision is made in your BOWP application and can remain in Canada and continue to work beyond the expiry of your work permit.

• other international biometrics collection locations

Thank you so much for sharing that, I don't know why I missed it.
Let's hope they will reopen some of the Service Canada location soon, I'm worried about only having an implied status after my current work permit expires

Hi, I am in the same position. I applied for BWOP May 6th, received letter yesterday. So now I am just going to wait until they reopen. If I know something before, will let you know here.

Both my BOWP and PR application are now listed as submitted even without the biometrics.

Mine too. But I dont know what that means? Will it go faster? I assume that biometrics still have to be done, right?

They will have to be done yes, but it seems to no longer be mandatory for the application to be processed.
