Hi there. I am moving to Toronto and was offered a salary of $180K per year; paid semi-monthly. I've checked a few salary calculators to better understand my take home salary after taxes would be but I haven't found one that really works. My company says that my salary after taxes should be between $9,300 to $10,000 depending on benefits etc.

If there's anyone that makes or knows someone that makes around that amount, could you give me an approx of what I should expect or if the range above is accurate? Toronto is a pretty expensive city and I don't want to get stuck with a lot of expensive if I didn't do my research properly.

Thanks!

If you do not have to contribute for your benefits and you do not contribute to a pension plan you will receive $9,064 after taxes per month

Below is the best salary calculator to use. It is the one that all ontario canada employers must use (from Canada Revenue Agency)

Toronto isn't cheap but it's not that expensive compared to other places like B.C.
