Syrian asylum seeker in the US with uncle in Canada

Hi all,
I am a Syrian citizen in the United States, I filed for asylum in the US, then Trump's executive order came out, which suspends any and all processing of Syrian refugees indefinitely, now I am considering going to Canada to file for asylum since I fall under the family exception for the third country agreement for I have a Canadian uncle, QUESTION IS am I ok and cleared to proceed with this stunt? or the fact that I filed in the US would bar me from asylum in Canada no matter what? please help im literally stranded ....

Trump order stops the admission of refugees from Syria indefinitely. That means the Government of the US closed the door at your face and your case was abandon by the US, and not YOU. So you are fine to go to the Canadian-US border and claim refugee.
