Do we need to fill this form for Skilled Worker too or is it required Family Class only?

Filling up this form depends on the visa office that you have chosen for your application. Some visa offices require this for Skilled worker class too.

Once you click on the link to the specific visa office checklist from the CIC website, you will see if it is needed.

For eg: My visa office is London, on opening this document and following column F, as instructed in the checklist, column F, shows that Your travels (IMM 5562) has to be filled up too.

Therefore, check for your visa office and you will get the answer.

It is in the checklist but the Your Travels forms is missing in the Appendix A. I managed to find it on the internet. I was a bit confused whether it's required or not because it was missing in appendix.

On checklist it is mentioned:

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: YOUR TRAVELS (IMM 5562)
Completed by:

• the principal applicant
• spouse or common-law partner
• each dependent child over the age of 18 years

While on Your Travel form, it says:

The principal applicant must complete this form.

Now, do the principle applicant only need to fill this form, or the spouse and children over 18 need to fill their own copy of this form.

Hi msaim,

I had mentioned on another thread that probably as this form (IMM 5562) was not a computer fillable form initially, London office would have probably removed it to make it a computer fillable form.

However as it is mentioned on the checklist send it.

Secondly, I also realise that the checklist says Prinicpal applicant, Spouse and children above 18 yrs and that the form only says principal applicant.

They are using this form for many types of immigration and visit visas. Therefore fill up as per checklist and send one for the principal applicant, spouse and children above 18 yrs if applicable. It is better they recieve more than less.

Thanks, it does make sense.

But one thing, the Form say the Principal Applicant. If I fill for my spouse too, do I need to mention that it's for spouse.

Another thing is they have sections for Principal, Spouse and Children over 18. Doesn't the same form serves the purpose for all family members?

Lets take it this way:

Checklist says -- Completed by

1. Principal Applicant
2. Spouse
3. Children over 18

and Form says:

The principal applicant must fill this form. And in the form they asked for trips of:

1. You (principal applicant)
2. Your spouse ...
3. Children over 18

Isn't the single form covering all?

On other forms like Background Declaration, they have specifically mentioned that Principal Applicant, Spouse, and children over 18 must fill their own copies for form.

While in Your Travels case they only asked Principal Applicant to fill this form.

Does it makes sense?

Relax dude ! you seem to be too worried about this.

Yes, fill one for principal applicant with info of Spouse and children (if applicable). Then when you fill a seperate one for spouse and children (if applicable) you will basically be sending the same info in a different order:

Eg: In principal applicant form - you will start with your (principal applicant) travels and the spouse
In spouse form - you will start with spouse as your travels and then principal applicant.

In simple terms, though the info is the same, the checklist says you need seperate ones. So with the VO begins to look into your file, he will expect to see individual ones. (as they follow what the checklist says)

No just send all tomorrow and relax. Again as I said, there is no harm in sending this as long as the info on the principal, spouse and children form matches.
