Supervisa Passport Request: Can my mother send her Renewed Passport for Visa Stamping?

Hi,

My mother is from Philippinjes and she applied for a super visa with a passport that is valid for only 1 year and 5 months. We overlooked the validity of the passport and now, Visa is granted and she is for PPR. She immediately renewed her passport because we came to know that supervisa validity will depend on the expiry date of the passport. Will there be a question if she will send her renewed passport for visa stamping since she used her old passport when she applied for a supervisa.

thanks you so much for the reply.

She must inform the Manila visa office about her new passport. Do send an email + IRCC web form to them.... before she actually submits her new passport to the VAC.

BTW there are no assurances about the visa validity. We've seen both scenarios: Visa validity until expiry of new passport.... or visa validity until expiry of the old passport.

In this case, though, your mom's super visa validity could be until passport expiry of the new passport

Hi Bryanna/ Members of the forum

I have applied for supervisa for my parents, but there Visitor visa is still valid for an a few months,
The supervisa application is taking some time, and they need to visit me for a family function.

1) Can they arrive on the visitor visa while their supervisa application is still in process?
2) Suppose they get a PPR request for supervisa while they are in Canada, can they submit the passports in canada?
3) Will this valid visa be impacted in any way due to supervisa applications?
4) Also if anyone has experience on supervisa applucation timeline for ex-army, it would be helpful?

Thanks alot for help
