Supervisa health insurance starting date

Hello
I am planning to apply for my mother's supervisa. When buying health insurance, when should I give the coverage starting date? from the time of application or from when she is expected to come to canada. Logically it should start from when she is expected to arrive in canada, but i am wondering if there is any effect on the visa application if i start the coverage from now?

You should apply in general. Companies usually ask you to notify when the parent travels to Canada and also reapply right before the 1 year expiry date if the parent remains for over a year. Supervisa insurance applications tend to be different to normal emergency travel medical coverage because you usually apply when you already have a travel date and visa.

Hi I want to clarify....does the insurance bit. Do I apply for insurance and start paying before my parents arrive because from what I read on the website you need to submit insurance evidence when submitting the application for parents. Please let me know if I'm right or wrong. Or how does the insurance part work
