I'm trying to find a job in canada so that I can apply for a supervisa for my mother.

Can a contract job offer be acceptable for applying for supervisa?

What about 6 month contract instead of 12 months?

Thanks in advance

It doesn't matter. You have to have EARNED the funds to meet the Low Income Cut Off figure before you can apply for the Super Visa for her.

Hi PMM,

thanks for the reply ...

for how long do i have to have earned them before I apply?

if I earn min funds per month for 2 months and then apply is that enough? or should it be one year or something?

this is a little depressing news because once I start working I'd have difficulty taking days off and going to my home country and apply for my mother's visa

If you are single and only apply for a super visa for your parents, you would have to show that you have earned $34.656 in Canada in the year before you apply.

PMM thanks a lot for your advice!

if one doesnot have job but parents are themselves financially strong by showing proof of funds can one apply for supervisa for parents

Yes, but the relative in Canada must have income to meet the required LICO in the year before he/she apply.

Hi,

After receiving the CoPR - while in the home country, can one apply for supervisa to cover parents?

No - you can't.

To qualify to apply for the super visa you must have a job in Canada and be making sufficient income to meet the low income cut off requirement.

No - you can't apply by showing proof of funds alone. You must have a job that meets the LICO minimum.

Hello

I wish some of the thread participants can help me . I am a Canadian citizen and my wife is the same too. I want to apply for super visa for my Mom. we both meet the income requirements as per Tax return of 2015. But in 2016 Jan, I had a Motor Vehicle Accident and receiving accident benefit as I cannot return to job. My wife supports me too. we are expecting a baby in May,2017. My question : Will my income factor impact Mom's supervisa application. Is there any chance that current year 2016's income will be a question/flag for review?

I greatly appreciate your feedback.

Thanks
