We applied for my mother super visa and she got V1 visa with multiple entry . Her passport is valid till November 2020 , can this be the reason for rejection of super visa
You said in first line she got V1 visa. Did you mean reject at point of entry ? anyways in either cases it cant be reason of rejection. Visa validity though can be max till expiry of passport i.e. Nov 2020.
Thanks for the reply , she got her passport last week with visa (category V1 ) and the rejection is not at point of entry . Further we also loaded five month return ticket, can this be factor of rejection .

She was granted a V1 visa based on the assessment of the visa officer.
Typical reasons why this could happen are:
1. Requesting a short stay like a V1 visitor
2. Your income does not meet LICO
BTW we have come across a couple of very short validity super visas last year i.e. super visa validity of 6 months. So her passport expiry may not be the reason
We are a family of 2 - my husband and I. My mother (belongs to India) has visitor visa that expires May 2022. She is arriving Canada in October - will be her first visit.
Question:
1. Should I apply for extension or super visa? When would be best time to apply as soon as she arrives or I should wait for 2-3 months after she arrives here.
2. What minimum income is required?
3. Is it compulsory for her to have health insurance - for this visit Oct 2021?
