Posted in other thread too:

From someone else's timeline I calculated 48 days for medical to be asked - they filed at VFS (I guess that is online application).
I suggest you sending a case specific inquiry through their website. They usually answer within couple days if you enter proper ID information. Please update us on your status.

P.S. I am surprised at how many Pakistanis do NOT report their timelines here. Please be more proactive and help each other out.

Salaam Everyone,

I applied for Super Visa on Aug 22 for my mother-in-law as my wife is pregnant through VFS Karachi. Islamabad office received the documents on Aug 25 according to the tracker. My Mother in Law had an upfront medical on August 6th. We sent an email to Islamabad office asking for the update on the case on Oct 17 and got a reply within 2 hours saying that the "Case is in process and that the medical results have been received".

Just wanted to share the timeline with you all so that we are all a bit helpful to each other.

Looking at some previous posts where someone who applied on AUG 21 got a medical request in OCT, it appears that they are working on the files that were sent during the august 20-30 timeline.

Best,

Best,
Is what you put in quote the exact words from them? I have seen many generic responses that say our case is in process. But if they mentioned medical received then it's probably a human who responded who has looked into the case...

Thanks for updating your timeline.

I would also like to update timeline for embassy in USA to be 5 days for passport request. For those who need biometric most likely this counts from time biometric is received.

Yeah, what i wrote in quotes is what they said in the email. Looks like they are working on that timeline i mentioned in my previous posts. So people in that timeline may expect some sort of communication from them, be it request for medical or other piece of information or even visa.

lets all pray and hope to hear good news soon.
InshAllah.

The timeline you mentioned is going to get closer to 60 days and more. I think they were most active during summer when the processing time dropped from 58 days to 50 days but now it's above 60 days. But again, not many people here post their timelines so we don't know for sure if these are case specific timelines or general timelines. Maybe we should star a spread sheet...

I recently went through the super visa online application process for my Parents...........I have a couple of questions & suggestions, kindly reply if any of you know the answers for certain & have been through similar situations...thanks

Questions

1. Can I visit my Parents in Pakistan while they go through the visa process as I am the person sponsoring them for this visa???
2. What type of testing do they have to go through for their medical??

Suggestions

1. You do not need to sign any forms for the online visa application.
2. IMM 5257B has to be submitted for the application procedure to take you to the next step (even though it is under the optional forms section)
3. Make sure to validate IMM 5257E

I applied on September 22nd they did their biometrics the same day......still waiting on further updates

thank you everyone this forum was a great help, & Kindly reply to my questions

1- Yes, you can visit them.
2- There is a guideline for physicians which you can find and read but mostly blood work, urinalysis, and chest x-ray for TB.

IMM5257B or Schedule 2 is a must for citizens of certain countries.

Hi Everyone,

As mentioned in my last couple of posts that my mother-in-law received an email response from CIC that the application is in process and medical results have been received. Guess what? Today, she got an AUTOMATED email from them asking for MEDICAL Examination.

Should I ask them why they sent this just couple of days later after acknowledging they have the medical records?

Could that be a second X-ray request? I wonder if the designated doctor would know what this might be about. Have you checked the portal? Are there no details?

If it's not truly a request for re-examination then it could just be an update to the file by VO entering your results...

It is not a "RE-MEDICAL" REQUEST. It is a MEDICAL REQUEST for the first time. An automated e-mail generated, which is confusing. We have sent them a letter asking for clarification. Lets wait and see what they reply.

Got a reply saying that my mother-in-law doesn't need to undergo the medical as they already have the results from the "UPFRONT MEDICAL" that was done.
