Thanks for sharing the info. I am glad to see someone who applied in December. I think we should hear something in a week or two max.

ZU and Canadian 007,

Please go thru the following URL:

This is an announcement about Super visa on March 5th.

On the bottom of the page, look for:

I would suggest calling this office and sharing your experience and concern that it is taking long for super visas to be processed from Pakistan. You can call and still be anonymous and share your concern. I have not yet applied for my father's super visa but I am planing on calling the number and sharing my concern there.

If all of us Pakistanis call them and politely share our concerns, there may be something they can do. Or atleast we would have escalated this issue to higher levels.

the input can be also sent by e-mail: CIC-Media-Relations@cic.gc.ca

A very good idea, I will be making a call on this number as well.

I just called 613-954-1064 for sharing my concern. And the lady suggested me to email at:

minister@cic.gc.ca

And according to her this email should go to the minister. I am thinking atleast to his secretary. Please feel free to email or if you have a better suggestion please share. Lets try to escalate.

I have emailed at that address. I would encourage other pakistanis to send some emails as well to make our voice heard.

Looking at the way the timeline is working your application should be getting processed soon.

Just thinking about the extended timeline at CHC islamabad.... I wonder what happens if the processing time exceeds the date the applicant was suppose to depart for canada i.e my mothers ticket as of now is for May 24 and the embassy had the complete application by Jan 29. Is the application processing done according to departure dates of applicants? Does anyone know?

The thing is guys the CHC is very short on staff- they have moved most of their embassy staff from here because of security situation and most of the cases are being processed at London CHC. I have applied for TRV though but other people here have reported getting TRV in over 90 days (calendar days) thats over 3 months...Email is the best way to go about this, but I will also suggest calling/emailing your local MP and telling them about this situation that only Pakistanis are being treated like this other places/cities have far less waiting time be it PR/TRV/Super Visa.

Back in 2004 when I went to Canada on Student Visa they processed my case in under 2 weeks.

I must also add my wife is a canadian citizen and she has called her local MP and he has assured her that he will be talking to immigration minister in Ottawa to speed up things for Family class sponsorships/visas for Pakistanis so lets see what happens
