I think it should be fine as long as she/her husband meet the requirement of income for given number of members in their family (assuming she's married) to sponsor your mom.

Hello fellow members,

Has anyone gone through furtherance medical exams when applying for parents super visa? My mother in law passed her medical but father in law is was asked to do furtherance medical. During the first medical exam, they found a small spot in the lungs during x-ray and CT scan. They did multiple chest x-rays and also did a sputum test during the first series of appointments. After going to the panel physician the second time (after receiving request for medical furtherance), they told him that his sputum test was negative and provided all the reports and have referred him to a specialist, most probably for the spot they found in the lungs. They have asked him to come back again after two months. Please share your experiences.

Which city did they go medical exam?

They found the same kind of spot in my mother's x-ray and asked her for sputum tests for which my mother went to the same hospital for 3 days to collect the sample. They also gave her a date months away for the final x-ray.

The medical exam was done in Karachi. My father in law also went to the same hospital 3 days straight after attending the first appointment. He has also received a date for another appointment in early May, possibly to get another x-ray done. He is supposed to meet a specialist which the panel physician recommended today and he has to take all the reports that were produced by the panel physician. Let see what happens and I will keep the forum up to date for future reference.

Some of you might remember me due to my parent's rejected TRV attempt last year. This year I had them apply for a super visa and thankfully it came through yesterday.

Just wanted to give an idea of the timeline.

- Applied using the paper option on January 23 in Karachi - Application most probably went to the Abu Dhabi office. Passports were submitted at the same time too
- Medical request on February 1
- Medical completed on February 9
- Notification to pick up passports on March 5

Visa duration is until the expiry of their passports and multiple entry of course.

Wishing everyone good luck with their applications.

There was no PPR as passports were submitted at the application submission time. They were submitted via VFS at Gerrys.
