Why is it illegal. One of the requirements is that you prove that you have 1 year of supervisa insurance with 100k coverage. If you are paying monthly there is no guarantee you’ll have the coverage for a year. You are required to pay upfront so IRCC knows your parent has the 1 year of coverage and that it is guaranteed.
It is illegal because the rule of having 1 year fully paid insurance was updated on the IRCC website on 27th July but the policy was made effective back dated to 4th July. If an applicant applied, on lets say 10th July ,when the rule did not specify you should have full year paid insurance, he/she fulfilled all the requirements of insurance at that particular date hence visa should have been granted. I hope it makes sense how it is illegal.

It wasn’t illegal. It wasn’t specified in detail that you couldn’t pay in monthly instalments because it had never been an option offered by insurance companies knowing that without payment in advance 1 year of supervisa insurance wasn’t guaranteed. The requirement was that you prove that you have 1 year of supervisa insurance. If you were paying in monthly instalments you don’t have proof of a 1 year policy because you can stop paying at any time. The on,y way to prove that you have 1 year of supervisa insurance coverage is to pay for the whole year in advance.

yes, it was like a generic response.

PAY FULL AND UPLOAD DOCUMENT... EVERYONE DOING THIS ,,, DONT WAIT ,, BECAUSE THEY ARE REFUSING ALL WHO HAS NOT PAY FULL
I am planning to apply Supervisa for my parents and have the following questions. Looking forward to responses from fellow forum members.

1. Is confirmation of Supervisa insurance required at the time of application itself and if not, then at what point of the application process is this required?

2. My mother underwent surgery for Ball gladder and dermoid cyst removal (both non-cancerous) in May’22 end. She has now completely recovered and stopped taking post operative medicines. She did not had any other minor or major surgery in her lifetime. She does not have serious health issues like Blood Sugar, Heart problems etc.
Should my mother’s condition be classified as having pre-existing diseases from the perspective of Supervisa insurance or Supervisa application or both?

3. I am planning to initiate the visa application in beginning of October. Some other forum members had suggested that I can even initiate the application in September. Considering my mother’s condition, what is the recommendation on the timing of the medical test? Should I go for Upfront medical or when the medical request is sent after an initial application? I am leaning towards upfront medical so that we have this thing out of the way before starting with other steps.

4. While applying for Supervisa, we are required to give the insurance start date. What date should I give considering that I am planning to start the process in October, and it make take 4-5 months for the process to be completed fully. What happens if the visa is delayed, and visa processing is expected to go beyond the initially selected start date?

That's great, congrats. Can you please share your timelines?

Mine are below:

Applied for super visa for my parents - May 20th (India),
Biometrics done - May 30th
Medical request - June 27th
Medicals done - July 8th
Medicals passed in portal - July 25th
I had opted for the monthly insurance initially and then bought a new one with full payment made for a year. Uploaded the proof for same through country specific web-form on Aug 21st.

No update since then.

I would highly recommend reach out to your MP and get him/her to upload the insurance document ASAP on your behalf.
