Super Visa question

Just wonder if anyone knows what this question means under section "Criminality and security questions":
"Are you or have you ever been a member or associated with any political party, or other group or organization which has engaged in or advanced violence as a means to achieving a political or religious objective, or which has been associated with criminal activity at any time?"

I am not sure if I should choose yes or no. For yes, the applicant is a member of a political party e.g. republican/democrat etc. For No, applicant has never involved in any of the criminal, political and religious activities.
Should the applicant choose Yes or No for this?

Tell the truth. It is not a trick question. You must be honest when filling out any visa application.
