Hi guys,

I really need some good advice regarding this. I applied for my mother's super visa in October 2020, the biometric was done in the same month and that is it. It's been almost 2 years now and there is no other progress. and then last month I submitted a webform and CIC Singapore replied that it is still waiting to be sent to an officer for processing and they can't tell how long more it may take more.

On the other hand, the current processing time for super visas for Singapore is 92 days now. So does it mean, it is stuck in the backlog and may remain like this for years?

What are my options? I can cancel and reapply. Or leave it like this and apply for a regular visitor visa? Is it allowed to apply for a regular visitor visa while a super visa is already pending? Please advise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1:(:(:(:(:(:(

You were supposed to reapply in September 2021 when IRCC switched to a new system. I would reapply now.

Hello @canuck78 , thank you for your response. I did not know about the new system. Shall I have to withdraw the previous application in the old system? or I can start a new application? Thanks

It was mentioned on IRCC's twitter account and an on their website so if you did not open the website or follow IRCC on twitter you likely missed it.

You can reapply now and simultaneously send a webform to withdraw old application. You don't need to wait for withdrawal to be complete to apply again. Withdrawing application can also take months sometimes.
