Hello Everyone,

I am applying for my parents supervisa but there is one confusion. My family size is 4 (Me, my wife, and my parents).
When calculating low-income cut off, does IRCC consider only my income or total family income (mine and my wife's)?
My income just misses by 1000$ in NOA for the 2022 year to meet the low-income cut off, but when I include my wife's income, it is more than sufficient. Please advise, if I am eligible to file supervisa application for my parents or not.

Thank you all in advance.

it could be yours and your spouses income combined together
make sure u both sign the invitation and related invitee docs

I have a question regarding proof of income requirements, how it is calculated before tax deduction(gross income) or net income( salary that is credited to the account).

Hopefully the link below clarifies your doubts:

Regarding LICO limits, if your annual income does not meet the total required for you and your guests, you can add your wife's income. However, your wife also has to sign the invitation letter. In addition it is best for you to include a notarized affidavit from your wife stating that she is ready and willing to support your parents visa application.

It's clearly written in the Guide 5256:

I am also applying for super visa for my mum, My household has four people living there. Thus me, my wife, my mother inlaw and brother inlaw, my mother inlaw is here on a visit visa which was sponsored by my wife only. Will my Low income cutt-off amount have to be just me and my wife and my mum making 3 or I have to include my mother inlaw making it 4. Also, my brother inlaw is in the process of finding his own place to rent, should I include him to be living in my house or it doesnt matter.

The brother inlaw would be excluded in the calculation of your household income.

Thank you so much for the clarification, I was confused with the word 'gross' here, I thought gross here means complete family income.

Line 150 in your NOA is gross income.
