Hello Everyone
I am new to this forum. I recently applied for my parent's supervisa and yesterday I got the final decision that their application has been rejected reason being: "You have not provided sufficient documentation to support your / your host's income and assets". My parent's showed total of $12k in their bank and I submitted my T4 and offer letter with my income. I am not sure of they are referring to my income or assets or my parent's. We have an house hold income of approximately $140K but in application I submitted only mine T4 and Offer Letter(no bank statement, no investments or 401K details) not my husband's as he is new to Canada and didn't get any NOA or T4s. Please help, when I should reapply and with what documents for income and assets.

Thanks in advance!

Qualifying for a supervisa is based on income earned in Canada and not salary which is why people usually don’t qualify for a supervisa for at least a year after moving to Canada and NOA is the preferred document for financial proof. I would apply after you have filed your taxes this year if your NOA shows that you have earned over LICO amount as a family.

You need to provide the following to prove you have sufficient funds and as well as you have stable income
  1. Notice of Assessment at least 2 years
  2. T4 at least 2 yrs
  3. Bank Statement for 6 months
  4. Paystub for 6 months
  5. Employer letter with your salary

This isn’t correct because you only,y need to prove one year of meeting LICO. Please look at Supervisa application for exact documents needed.

I submitted the above documents and got the super visa in 4 months for my parents, I didn't show any property or funds documents from my parents side. Its okay to give more supporting documents than lacking a few.

You can provide more info but it isn’t actually required. Big difference

Is TFSA a good proof for income? Can TFSA be in my wife's name and we both are inviting my parents i.e. husbands parents only?
