Super Visa 2022

IRCC announced new policies in regards to SuperVisa which included stay upto 5 years + another extension for 2 years. They also said they will include insurance companies outside of Canada for Super Visa insurance.

Okay. Yeah the 5 year thing is already implemented. Didn't know about the insurance. Good to know but they haven't updated their conditions list for Super Visa yet. It still says one needs to have Canadian insurance.

Hello Members,

I need your suggestion in my Supervisa application.

Background: My parents has visitor visa of Canada and US. They are currently with me in Toronto(came here for the first time in May 2022). They are going to US next week(for the first time) and planning to stay there 5 months with my cousin sister there and then they will go to India in Jan 2023. I want to start their supervisa application once they go to USA.

Application query:
1. Can I apply their Supervisa while they are in US? Should I put my cousin's USA address as they are in US or Permanent India's address should be there in application?
2. Can they do their medical while there are in US?
3. If they get their passport request while they are in US, can I submit it in VFS USA?

I think you will have a address history section like you have in visitor visa application. So for current address you will put address where they are currently located. If they plan to stay for 5 months good chance application will be approved by then so you need to make sure address is current address.

Does not matter to be honest...I applied on new portal and have been waiting since Feb...Some applied on old portal and got it in a month. It is all luck.

Given Biometrics : 06/27/2022, status got updated on portal same day
Medicals passed : 07/19/2022 Morning( gave upfront medicals)
PPR request : 07/19/2022 Evening
