I agree with you. I had a rejected visitor visa application last year. Already had a UCI. Quite a lot of my documents were probably already processed back then. And of course following the advise of those who have already gone through the process successfully and avoiding the rejection mistakes goes a long way towards the submission of a complete and flawless application.
However, such a huge discrepancy in the processing timelines of Visa Officers in different countries is frustrating and may seem unfair at times.
Agree with that sentiment. This isn't new though. Even in March/April, there were some 'lucky' applicants who got PPRs within 3-4 weeks of submission. And no one could figure out why that should be the case. There was considerable speculation that applicants from some countries including parts of Western Europe, Jamaica and Nigeria would experience an accelerated process but no one could really prove anything. In that sense, October PPRs aren't an aberration but some kind of outlier phenomena which occurs often and is currently unexplained.
