Hello, my wife is a Canadian citizen and we are applying for spousal sponsorship. I'm also applying for an Open Work visa at the same time. We're completed all of the proper forms and have gathered all of the necessary documents using the updated guide.
Before we do our final checks and print everything off, we just have a few clarification questions that we'd like to ask about several documents.
A couple documents, including Generic Application form for Canada (IMM0008) and Authority to Release Personal Information to a Designated Individual (IMM5475) ask for a "Unique Client Identifier" or UCI. At first we believed that we did not have one because we had not submitted any papers before. But recently we noticed that my Visitor Record has a UCI on it. Are we supposed to use this UCI on said forms? or does the UCI come from something else that I'm not aware of.
Second question is about dates and validating. Do all forms need to be dated on the same day as validation? Additionally do all forms need to be dated/validated on the same day. Are we supposed to date and print the forms the same day we mail them? or do we simply date the forms the day we complete them?
My last question is about the employment section on the "Application to Change Condition, Extend my Stay or Remain in Canada as a Worker" (IMM5710). There is a section about my employment for the past 10 years. I've only been employed for a few months of last year. How do I fill out the last 10 years to say that I was unemployed during most of it?
Currently we have put 2006-01 from 2016-01 I was unemployed, then we listed that I was employed from 2016-01 to 2016-08 and finally we listed that i was Unemployed 2016-08 to the current date. However each entry requires a location of employment so we just entered in my current town of residence for the unemployed entrees. Is this acceptable?
