So here's an update from my side- I naturally have been emailing the NDVO over the last week, but I received no reply from them obviously. So today I called VFS and I let loose at them, noting that I am traveling in less than a month, that the NDVO have had my passport for almost a month, and I am basically demanding either my passport back or a meaningful update on its status. I was transferred to a senior executive, who asked me to email the VFS email ID, so that my email could be forwarded to the High Commission by VFS immediately, and she estimated that I may have some follow up by today or tomorrow.
I don't know whether I will, but there we are. Hoping for some good news soon.

Have submitted passport on 27th Sep at vfs Kolkata. staus changed to Approved on Ist Oct.Yet to receive passport back.Online tracking at vfs portal shows it is being processed at NDVO office.

Submitted passports on 20 sep. Have not got back till date.

Application got approved and closed on 21sep. However today i checked and observed stranged thing. Application is still showing approved however final decision is saying not started. Earlier it was application has been approved.

Also, bg chexk statushas been updated to blank. Earlier it was completed.

Anyone know what kind of behaviour it is?

However when I see u received ur passport two days later, I assume its a normal process? has any one else sees same thing?

After couple of hours the status goes back to original in my case i.e. approved, complete, passed etc...

May be they are working on the passports hence a temporary change.

Yep, back to normal for me as well.
