When did your passport reach NDVO?

VFS guys said it is highly unusual to not get the passport back within 10 days. You should try to contact them.

I submitted mine on September 8.
VFS are being most unhelpful about this, unfortunately.

When I had gone to submit my passport, some lady with a similar issue, of not having her passport returned was present. She spoke the vfs people and they gave her some random answer after making her wait for a while. The lady not satisfied with the response refused to budge and told them to talk to someone at the embassy....else she wouldn't leave the vfs centre till she got satisfactory response. It seems like she was to fly out pretty soon.
Not sure what happened in the end, as I left once my work was done.
You could try something of this sort.

I did visit the VFS office on Monday, they made me write a Request Letter. I haven't seen any movement since :/

I guess I still have a month left till I have to fly, so I'm not necessarily freaking out right now (especially since there seem to be others who seem to be in the same boat as me, implying there is some bureaucratic f*ck up here), but I'm going to be at the end of my rope pretty soon if this keeps up.

Status in myCIC account changed to closed and approved when I checked my account on 12 Sept. Since then I have called the VFS customer care few times and they say the same thing that is mentioned in tracker. Passport is being processed at NDVO. I have opted to personally collect the passports back. Not sure how much more time will it take for the passports to reach back VFS Hyd office.

Oh no. My wife has booked tickets to fly on Oct 15th. I hope we get back the passport on time.

Submitted on 21st and reached on 22nd. No news yet. It takes around 10 business days.

Did u guys opt for the blue dart courier system or opt to pick up the package in person..

Hi All,

I too will be submitting the passport in VFS office tomorrow considering the wait time of 1 month+.
Im planning to visit my sister in US and from their will land in Canada. Can I do it? or I have to directly travel from my home country(India) for the landing process?

You can travel to U.S. and then land in Canada.
